With P.J. Brown unsure of whether he will return or retire, the club will contact a number of free agents when that season opens Tuesday. And don’t be surprised if the C’s, based on their success with Brown, go the veteran route again. It’s expected that they will touch base with a crew that includes Alonzo Mourning and Dikembe Mutombo.

Amazing. What is the maximum we can pay for Mourning or Moutombo if we give Posey the full MLE?
Mutumbo made it clear last year that he didn't want to leave houston because his family is down there. They could be a contender next year if Yao doesn't get hurt again .

Mourning loves Miami and I think they could be really good this year. Mutombo didn't want to come here partly because of the cold, and I still don't think he'd come, but maybe he has a little regret after watching Game 6. He's at least a possibility.
