I must admit I'm amazed by the general tone of the posts I see. People are worried about who the Celtics drafted, Bill Walker's knee, Posey might leave, we need more big guys. I mean, They just won it all. The 5 starters are all coming back. I'm thrilled. we've been waiting 22 years for this. Maybe they won't repeat, maybe they will but for now, relax and enjoy. I'll start to be concerned about next year, next year. For now I'm just going to be happy that my team are the World Champions.

Posey is the only thing I'm concerned about.  Once he is re-signed, I have no worries.

Us fans just get so excited!

Can't blame us for anticipating next season.

There's nothing wrong with speculating.

Dito, except that House would be a nice guy to have back too. We all pretty much know that Cassell and PJ are gone, but we all just worry about good players hitting FA.

In my opinion, Danny is looking at a possible replacement for TA.  He knows that all of his $$$ has to go into Posey if he can get it done, and that leaves TA and possibly House out of the picture.

I'm enjoying this draft season much more than in past years though, I must admit.  It feels nice to not have gaping holes to fill this year.

how does everyone "know" that Cassell is gone? Cassell said many times that he is coming back and Doc said last night that they want him back and that he will be better once he gets a chance to learn the offense. I don't exactly want him back but all signs point to it.

I haven't been worried since the cleveland series!  :-X the lakers
I think Posey is a very important piece and would like to see him resigned but not at $$$$.  If he leaves heres a crazy idea what about Wallace from last year, wasn't he considered a defensive player and 6'8"??
I'm not worried (for now) about a backup center.  I'm excited to watch perk next year I think he could have a big improvement.  I can't wait to see Rondo, his improvement was huge this year if he does the same watch out!
Let Sam leave, don't like him.  Eddie would be nice to resign.  I'd like to see Pruitt get 3rd string, he can help if his handle is there next season.  This leaves Davis & Powe, both good team players with different strengths at pf and also trade chips.  Tony Allen's value isn't high so let him develop with ray allen as tutor.
I'm not worried, I believe its called drunk on green kool aid?

It's kinda funny with all of the story lines heading into last season about how none of the New Big 3 had never won anything, the biggest national credentials boost I've seen out of anyone in the aftermath of the Celts championship has been Posey.  I guess it's because of his free agent status but the guy has been given an enormous amount of credit.  Clearly deservingly, it's just unusual to see the quintessential role guy get this much credit for being really good at what he does (and for being a "winner").

I'm not worried; we'll either resign Posey or get two decent bench guys to replace him.  Boston is suddenly an attractive free agent destination, and I'm happy with our draft picks.

I'm not seeing a ton of negativity from people, though.  There are question marks, but very few people are in any sort of panic mode.  If you want to see "worried", check out some of the posts from after Game 6 in Atlanta.  This is nothing.

Posey, House and a backup 5. Thats the rest of the off-season right there. We just got youth, depth and athleticism from the draft. Lets get our team back together and go for Banner 18.

I'm not worried, at least not yet. I'm a bit concerned, but I'll only be worried if we don't get Posey and we don't get a legit defensive minded big man. Ainge has plenty of time. And he did awesome last season.  ;)

Posey, Backup Center (Diop), and House would be fine.

I'm not that worried right now, because even if Posey doesn't sign, we can then use the MLE on a solid Backup C. Then, we could definitely get House if it is what DA wants, and resign TA if needed. That's easy to say, but not easy.. because of the backup C part, and Posey's value.

you should make an historical section of cb - the day the world (almost) ended. Round 1, Game 6, 2008 Atlanta vs. Boston - not editable, just there so we can calm down whenever the going is getting tough

Alternately, that section could definitely be published as a book - or just a "worst of celticsblog" - it'd be on my coffeetable

Not worried.
Resigning Posey is the top priority, and it looks like he wants to be here and the Cs want him here -- I would be shocked if it didn't happen.  Once he is in place, then backup 1 and backup 5.  Tony Allen could be used in a S&T for one of those positions...
Celtics fan for life.

Worried?  NOPE!

They just won #17.  They landed two of the most talented players in the draft.

The need one thing as far as I can see, and that is a backup #5.  That said, if you look at the rotation, we may not need one at all.  If you take Davis, Powe, Garnett, and Perk, that makes for a decent rotaation (hope I did not leave any one off).  Now, what if Danny finally gets his man?  What I mean is, what if he deals for Swift in a minor sign and trade (Allen and a Pick for Swift)?  That would land a backup that could provide some minutes off the bench.

Before anyone hammers me, I'm not looking for the next coming of Robert Parish (hail to the chief) or even the next coming of Kendrick Perkins (ever think we'd say that).  I just need some minutes off the bench, which Swift MIGHT be able to provide.
