I hope he wears #8 so I can break out my old Walker jersey.

If he does, I say drop your account
and come back as WelcomeToWalkerism.
Don't worry, I'll give you a TP or two  ;)

I was totally bumming when we passed on Mario and took Giddens, a former Jayhawk (I believe from Mario's class), who got kicked out of KU for getting in a knife fight.

1) He got stabbed - he didn't bring the knife 2) He transferred, didn't get kicked out.

This article explains the situation.  I think he's matured some:

You have to love the owners. We are already due to pay luxury tax, but they not only give the green light on a 1st round pick we will have to sign to a 2 year guaranteed contract, they give up cash for an additional pick who also has the potential to stick.

Hopefully Walker and Giddens are good at understanding defensive rotations and take over TA's role, esp if we resign Posey. It would be hard to image both players being busts, especially with the focus and leadership of the team they will be joining.

So long as 1 of these 2 pans out based on potential, this was a great draft.

walker had a torn acl during his freshman year... hope he doesn't turn into another t-allen: huge breakout on the court but then out for good.

Dear Bill,

Welcome to Boston, but don't unpack all your bags.  Salt Lake is a great city, don't believe all the hype about it being too conservative, you'll quickly find out its got a pretty cool social scene - I am sure Gabe Pruitt can tell you where to hang out.  We are all looking forward to seeing you back in Boston to watch the playoffs the end of the next season.

Best,

Danny & Co.

Nice move. I like both the pickups of Giddens and Walker.

We just need to keep buying those t-shirts and they'll keep paying the tax.

I think they need to make a 'I bought this t-shirt to help pay for Bill Walker to come to the C's' shirt.  I would totally buy one.

That said, my shirt and hat are already on order.   I'm doing my part.

Hopefully, this will put an end once and for all to the "Bring back Gerald Green" threads.

Yes, these are more or less my thoughts as well -- two players with potentially very large upside; hopefully it works out that one of them is a gem in the rough.  I love the way Danny drafts.

Is there anyone that can give me the rundown on Walker's knee surgeries?

When I googled this subject I saw it reported in some places that he's had three ACL surgeries.

I could only find real evidence of a left ACL surgery during his freshman year.
