I don't see where you guys get your arguments against Pruitt. You haven't really seen him play at all at the professional level. A couple minutes isn't enough to judge. But in those couple minutes I did see him knock down a couple mid range shots and a 3 or two, that looks promising.
If he IS on this team next year, he will fall into the defensive mind set like the rest of the team and step it up I'm sure. He has the speed, and his size is perfect - there is no reason he shouldn't. Unless of course, he pulls a Gerald Green on us and doesn't do anything except shoot the ball. I think being on the team this year helped him a ton, and I think some experience next year will be great for him. If he is on the team, it will basically have to be a 3rd string spot. I couldn't picture Rondo getting 2 quick fouls and having Pruitt come off the bench with ~15 minutes of total NBA experience.
He will flourish off the bench next year I think, because there WILL be garbage time during the regular season. Doc knows sort of the rotation he should be using (if Posey and most of these guys end up staying.) I would LOVE to see Rondo, House, and Pruitt running the 1 next year. I know Eddie is a glorified 2 guard, but he showed us a lot this year at the 1 when Sam simply couldn't.
