Hey guys,

How do you think the Celts would stack up against the world in the olympics? I think the Celts hold better team chemistry than team USA can develop in a few summers. I would actually give the celts a better shot at beating the world than team USA just because of this... i'd love to hear what you guys think?

P.S. Im going to enter my senior year of college next year, so im spending this summer interning, and man this 8-6 deal is rough... It's going to take a lot to get used to sleeping before 2 AM, and getting up at 6:30 everyday... Anyone have any hints as to partying during the weeknights?

With that said, you guys can probably expect me to be posting a lot more now that I have such long days... Actually my next post will be about how I met Allen, Pierce, and KG last week... yup true story!

Oh yah, so Celts vs the world?

Oh and by the party comment, I just meant that since i'll be surrounded by college kids this summer, and most of them are just doing research, so they can afford to drink every night... I figure I might just go home and chill and drink a beer or something... however this will be difficult as most of my roommates will be going out a lot...

Don't let them trick you!

Just because you left school doesn't mean the late nights need to stop.  You just have to adjust to being useless from 8-10 every day.  If you can do that, and make up for it... well... yeah.  I work about 50 hours a week and go out most week nights :-)

USA needs a team that wins every single game. Boston does not have that team. One team could get hot from 3 and knock the C's out.

Plus the C's are very beat up right now. I'm glad they all get their rest this summer.

Easily, if they were to play with the same levels of intensity, desire and effort. But I can't imagine that happening.

Well I work from 12-9PM.  I have to get up for work around 10:15 AM.

I usually go to bed around 4, sometimes early... sometimes much later.  After you've been working for awhile you'll condition yourself to a little less sleep.

When I was in college, I used to expect 7-8 hours a night.  Once I started working, I realized in the real world... well, "the man" eats up so much of your time you can't AFFORD to sleep 7-8 hours a night if you want to do the things you want to do ;-)

As far as those unproductive hours (12-2 for me...) I either

a)  guzzle caffeine and stay active
b)  (more likely) look busy.  Half the time I'm on THIS website, and I keep my fingers on the old alt+tab to shift to a "work" window should someone drop by ;-)

You just have to make up for it later in the day... by actually working harder than the people around you.  You'd be surprised how often easy that is.

The Celtics playing would actually work out considering that we have a team full of American players.  I think what would be most important for the USA team (whoever is composed of) is a coach committed to defense.  Like our Cs have proven, defense wins championship.  Team USA would need a coach (or assistant coach) that would be able to figure out the international system and design a plan to stop that, then have the players committed to playing that kind of defense.  Offensively, nobody can stop the US, me thinks.

For that reason, I think the Celtics would absolutely have all the goods to beat any international team if, and only, coach Tibby would be able to figure out how to play their D.  I think his more than capable, but then again, that could just be a whole new ballpark for him.  Good question though.

PS. About partying, I know I sound like a grandpa but remember to set your priorities straight.  Go out, have fun, but never allow it to effect your work.  If it starts getting to be too much, just focus on relieving all that stress during the weekend.  Shift ur focus to work on weekdays, and party on weekends.
Baby Jesus!
