Obviously, resigning Posey should be priority #1 for Danny...but shouldn't the very next thing he does be to call Alonzo Mourning's agent?  They'd have to give him the physical of all physicals to make sure his body will hold up, but if PJ Brown has had enough...who better to be that 15 minute a night big off the bench than Alonzo?

Zo in the PJ role would work for me.

I can't stand Zo. I say we resign PJ at right about the same time we did this yr. It's not like he will have lost a step in a year (he already has). lol

After Posey, Zo is the next free agent to contact!! I would love to see him alongside KG in green. Talk about owning the paint!

Bigs of interest - top 4 choices:
A. Mourning 6-10 38
D. Diop 7-0 26
D. Mutombo 7-2 42
P.J. Brown 6-11 39

Of course if the C's need the MLE for Posey, we'll be way out of the running for Diop.

I think we would like him as a backup to replace PJ's role.

By the way, NO TO DIKEMBE. I saw him in that Houston playoff series, and I think he's way worse than any of those on that list.

Zo is one of my favorite players of all time and I think he would be a great fit with this team if PJ Brown is not going to come back. KG and Zo on the court at the same time? The defensive intensity would be too much to handle! I think Zo should be 2nd on our "to-do" list this offseason.

We should re-sign PJ. Sign Zo, Dikembe, and Kurt Thomas. We could have them play a platoon system off the bench. We all know the 2nd coming off Shaq is going to be Healthy (Bynum)*sarcasm*. Just imagine all those hard fouls committed against a young frustrated player. A guy can only dream.

Who knows if Zo will be able to play pro-basketball again? If he does, how much damage the injury made to his physical abilities? He's a 39 years old who suffered a very serious injury, not a broken nail.

For minimum dollars, absolutely.  He's got to be able to give as much as Pollard, right?

Rumor has it, though, that if he comes back, it will probably be in Miami.  That makes no sense to me.

Zo is worth a call. He'd be an incredible acquisition and very valuable to the team if Danny could land him.

That said I fully expect him to stay in Miami and finish his career there. I think it'll be a situation like Mutombo last season. After all he's been through with that organization I can't imagine him wanting to finish elsewhere.

Plus if I'm Miami I'm loving the idea of Beasley-Zo in the paint and keeping Zo around to teach him about the league and how to be a pro.
