We are all on the bandwagon and as far as I am concerned there's room enough on this bandwagon for everyone except the following:

1. Laker fans are not allowed the bandwagon.
2. Issiah Thomas is not allowed near the bandwagon.
3. Skip Bailis needs to be run over by the bandwagon.
4. Those wearing Yankee caps are not allowed on the bandwagon.
5. People who like the Celts because they are supposed to be a "white" team will be thrown off the bandwagon.
6. Dyane Cannon's face cannot be seen anywhere near the bandwagon.
7. 90% of the national media can only watch as the bandwagon passes by
8. 76'er fans should not be seen near the bandwagon
9. Mitch Lawrence (whoever he is) is banned from the bandwagon.
10.Jon Barry is never allowed to even talk about the bandwagon.

Did I forget anyone?

good stuff. btw, that pic you have of bird an magic is possibly my favorite painting of all time.

Somebody asked me recently how long I'd been a C's fan and I told them " Oh, I just went out and bought this hat when I heard they got KG".

I don't know why I did it.

Love the list SS, but would we not be remiss to omit one Jemele Hill in some way, shape, or form?  I'll leave the phrasing to you -- you did a masterful job.  TP for the laughs.

  • Nice.
I make sure to wear my old Celtics gear out so people don't do the same to me.  I hate bandwagon fans, or people that wear the gear just because it looks good.  If you can't appreciate my Dana Barros jersey, then we probably shouldn't talk Celtics.

How many people do you actually find that appreciate a Barros jersey?

Why Jon Barry? Barry was the one who refused to buy Kobe's "bunnies" excuse and pointed out we have the best defense in basketball and that is why he is having problems.

He also said before game three that Kobe's claim that the Lakers noticed a few things in their game 2 comeback was nonsense and that they only came back because the Celtics relaxed.

I also remember Barry liking the Celtics pretty early in the season after announcing a game.

Are you upset that Barry wore the Gino shirt through the second half of game 2?

I have an old Bird jersey I got back in '91. I was in 7th grade, so it is too small to wear now- unless I wanna go "clubbin" in it or something.

I hear what you say about the bandwagon- I guess if you are comfortable with your "fanhood", it shouldn't matter. Everyone who knows me knows the Cs come first. I would love to see them get bigger and bigger. Boston needs bball to move up the ranks again in this town...

What doesn't make sense to me is how people that say that they've been watching since the Bird era can call anybody a bandwagoner.

I want to meet the fan that has a Bart Kofoed jersey? #12

Sit through a season of the Kofoed/Todd Lichti backcourt. Memorable stuff!
Alaa Abdelnaby and Lorenzo Williams are two of my all time favorites from the lower echelon of players though!

Hilarious post, but you did forget someone.

Her name is C.J. and here's why she's never allowed to talk about anything Celtics related ever again: http://www.startribune.com/lifestyle/20384619.html?location_refer=Lifestyle

Barry was drafted by the Celtics and outright refused to sign with them forcing the trade for the aforementioned one and almighty Alaa Abdelnaby.

So there's bad blood now and he's acted ever since Lottery 2007 as if he's been a fan of them. Talking about them winning the lottery and becoming a force again and it would be great for the league. I remember it like it was yesterday.

But refusing to sign with the Celtics is a good a reason as any not be allowed to talk about the bandwagon.
