I'm going to be updating / starting a new Frequently Asked Questions thread about free agency, money matters, the Collective Bargaining Agreement, etc.

If there's a question you're confused about or would like answered related to the above, please post it here, and I'll do my best to find you an answer when I post the new thread.

(Please note: questions should be confined to stuff this post-season.  I won't be handling any "Dear Abby" type questions -- those go to Redz, Edgar, and wdleehi. ;))

I'd like to know exactly (or roughly) where the salary cap and luxury tax lines stand this year - also a note on how much extra teams make by being under the salary cap (as well as not paying the tax, how much they stand to make by getting to split the tax that is paid).

Secondly, a quick definition of the LLE, MLE, Non-Bird, and other salary-cap exceptions, as well as which ones are available to the current team and what salaries they would equate to if used this offseason.

Thanks Roy, I love the statistical resources you and others bring to this blog, it's good to have a numerical backbone to ground the subjective discussion.  I'd appreciate any of the above that you can put together.
