Going to the parade!

Ok, so I just drove up from Jersey to go to the parade.   I'm going with my 83 year old father and 21 year old son. Any ideas on the best place on the route to see the Celts?

Probably best to stay away from the Garden staging area.  We had good luck for the Red Sox parade outside of Government center.

Went to the parade and had a blast.  (Pretty nice to have time off right now)

Headed downtown with a couple of friends and we hit up the Beantown Pub which is right on the parade route. Simply walked outside when they came by.  Not too much of a bottleneck where we were.  Awesome looking down towards the Govt. Center area and seeing the confetti raining down on the crowd from the buildings.  Took a boatload of pictures. 

Beautiful day too.  Sox and Pats parades are always cold.  This time the weather was perfect.

It was a great day. The parade was awsome. Best part to see paul pierce so happy. Got some great pictures with my cousins camera. Unfortunately i left it on the train and someone stole when they got off at the next stop. Which kind of ruined my day.

And a note for Guinness lovers ... this year, for the first time, Irish beers have become available at the Garden. Shortly after the Christmas break, two beer kiosks, pouring Guinness, Smithwick's, and Harp on tap, appeared at the Garden; one on the Loge level and one for the Balcony. The price is ridiculous ($8 for a pint ), but the beer is delicious  !
