the defining moment for this boston celtics team came sunday, 29 july 2007 when jeff wrote this article.

it had me giddy, it put a smile on my face and it lifted the spirits of everyone aboard. going back to that day makes this championship so, so sweet.

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
The last comment is the best.

"Well, it looks like a done deal. My days as a Celtics fan are rapidly coming to a close. It has been fun for all these years, but it's time to find a team that knows what it is doing."

We had no idea what we were in store for, many of us had a good feeling, but the success that this team had this year is the best case scenario, and that so rarely happens.

That was a fun read --- I am sure we all have posts over the past year (especially a year ago) that we would all cringe reading today.  I know I do.

I have to say and I have say this from my heart --

The single emotion I keep feeling is Pride.

I am so proud to be a Celtic fan.  I am so proud of the Celtics team.  I am so proud of the Celtics organization.  I am so proud of the Celtics community.

Pride.
I love my kids, call me a sap - it's true.

I know I cursed this team out big time over the last 21 years - but the point is we all stayed with them, we all loved them enough to curse them, to get upset at questionable moves, to swear that was it and this time we mean it! Only to be back watching them the next game, eternal optimists, knowing that somehow we would get back to where we'd been in '86. What a great, sweet feeling today!
Now, on to 18...
