Apparently I must have turned my head last night or been in the kitchen and missed whatever people are talking about with something "classless" KG did to Lamar Odom.

If someone could explain and whether it was really disrespectful I'd appreciate it.

I'm guessing they're talking about the hard foul KG gave on Odom late in the game when the match was already decided for a very long time. Completely unneccessary. Odom took issue with it when it happened.

Yeah, next thing you know KG will be throwing opponents into the stands after an inbounds pass during blowout losses.  Now THAT would be something to talk about.

Yes that is what they are talking about.

heaven forbid that a team keeps playing after two 24 points leads were evaporated in the same series. Just a case of babies wanting to cry after getting their lollipop stolen.

Yes it was a bit of a hard foul, but he also rejected the ball fully. It isn't like he flat out tackled Ray Allen or anything. It was clearly intended to tell Lamar something, because he stuck his tongue out and did the manic nodding routine that Lamar did when Perk went down.

Eh, I like Odom but he didn't seem to concerned when Perk sustained a significant injury on a play he was involved with.

In fact I seem to remember him smiling/almost smirking while Perk was going down in pain.

I'm not going to feel sorry for the Lakers in this instance.

Not only that but earlier this season he tackled Ray Allen. Talk about unneccessary! But we are supposed to have sympathy? Don't think so.

When Perkins hacked him? I don't even understand your problem with that.

Lamar Odom was also the most willing player I've seen all season to help an opponents player back up on his feet. After every foul where a Celtic fell on the floor Odom helped them up if he was standing near or the guy that delivered the foul. He's about as nice a guy as you'll find in the league. That's part of the problem for LA.

Did you not read the first few words of my post?

"I like Lamar Odom ..."

He's a great guy from everything I've seen and I felt horrible when his infant died a few years back but he also tackled Ray this year and even if Perk "hacked" him you don't have to smirk and stick your tongue out.  I don't have problem with Garnett sending a message if that's what happened.

Lamar's a punk. Salvatore said something to him in the fourth as he gave him the ball for his free throws, it wouldn't surprise me if he told him to calm down or we are going to toss you, he was just out there to hurt people, that's what punks do. Funny how he waited until the 4th quarter when his team is down 40 with minutes left, to start attacking the basket and trying to act like a tough guy, Phil should have taken him out way earlier.

Odom wasn't smirking about Perk's injury. He's been smirking all playoffs whenever he makes a good play especially when he makes one in the paint. He just made a hard drive, cocked it back for what would have been a very impressive dunk, and earned himself a trip to the line.

I have no idea where the problem is there

Odom's foul on Ray earlier in the year was unneccessary. KG's on Odom was unneccessary. Odom's looked dumber.

And all three incidents were unimportant

KG stuck his tongue out because of the tongue wagging Odom did after he dunked on the C's earlier in the series. Was played in highlight reels none stop and obviously KG did not appreciate it.

I too used to like Odom (URI Rams), but he appeared to be somewhat of a punk this series, perhaps because he was "trying" to be a tough guy and match the Celtics intensity. The only two on the Laker's that could do that (match intensity) were Farmar - legit - and Kobe - who seemed to have trouble sustaining any kind of intensity once he was challenged. Kobe can take good team defense; but I really think that Pierce and Posey took him out of his game and really got the better of him.

He got put to the line for a 2 shot foul. Was that worth smirking at? Or did it have something to do with Perk? I don't know, but does it matter? He was smirking a lot, (Including in game 6) and KG was sick of it.

Blah, he almost broke Ray's back, gave him a pinched nerve, fingered his eye, scratch his nose, scratched Pierce's chest... I don't think we need to justify a bit of retaliation from KG, if it was that indeed.

Who cares, the Fakers are losers.

Non issue.  If Odom is going to start attacking the rim for dunks in a series clinching blowout, he gets what is coming to him.  These are never say quit Celtics, I don't fault KG one bit, in fact I love the hard foul in that situation. Odom may be a nice guy but I'll never see him that way after his tackle of Ray earlier in the year.
