I guess Skip will have to focus on Lebron.

Or how about Kobe.

That hug between KG and Bill Russell was a thing of beauty.

I expect Bayless, Simmons, Whitlock, Vescey et all to issue apologies. Maybe we need to start an email campaign.  ;)

Unfortunately, I expect you'll have a long wait for those apologies from all except maybe Simmons.  The fact that it eventually became a blowout will probably be enough for the others to avoid the issue, completely ignoring how much KG's play helped MAKE it a blowout...

Really?  Could you give a general synopsis of what he said?  Because I never would have expected him to say pretty much anything positive about KG...

I literally turn the station when Bayless is pontificating ---- what a waste of airtime.
I love my kids, call me a sap - it's true.

Seriously, I would've fully expected Bayless to discredit KG's performance because of the margin of victory... even though he was playing the best early when the game was close.

If anyone can sum up his comments today, I'd appreciate it.

Bayless is looking like the fool he is. LOL

Here's an excerpt from Simmons' acknowledgment.  Not a mea culpa, more of a "KG did it" kinda thing:

"Let the record show KG played one of his greatest games to help clinch a championship. It's something Elvin Hayes can't say, or Karl Malone, or Patrick Ewing, or Chris Webber, or anyone else from the not-so-clutch group that Garnett escaped. Much like John Elway after the '97 Super Bowl, any lingering questions about Garnett's ability to raise his game in big moments vanished into thin air for good Tuesday night. They will never be asked again. It's funny how a championship can do that."

Can someone please summarize Bayless' "retraction" or whatever today as has been asked in this post.

There are plenty of people Bayless should apologize to but KG would be at the top of that list.

I'm just glad that we can put the "What has he ever won?" trump card to bed for The Big Three. It's so tired and lazy.

I don't get worked up over Bayless. He's like a cartoon character  provocateur. I doubt he takes anything he says on that show seriously. Grasping at straws he once claimed that the Cavs made the finals last year because Lebron had the best supporting cast in the league. That's right, the best.

And for the record, I have no idea what he said this morning. Does anybody really like that show?

I'm an avid sportsfan, and I don't know who Bayless is.

I'm totally serious. I don't really watch NBA talk shows, or whatever they're called, in my spare time. The only show I can watch because it's also during a break I have each day from 4 to 4:30 central is Around the Horn, and sometimes I watch 10 or so minutes of the show with two guys arguing with each other after it.

Anyways, like many ESPN and other news channel reporters, I guess they don't matter that much for opinions, as the opinions that matter the most are ours.

IDK if you care or not, but he's on a show called 1st and 10 that's on ESPN sometime in the morning. It's like the Today Show format except it focuses on sports.

It's a piece of crap.
