  • The good ole days.
I though KG would never get a ring.  This has been basketball at it's finest.   :'(

MIGHT?
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

I'm guessing it's getting a little misty in a lot of homes around New England (and beyond) right now.

I'm so happy right now I could cry too. I love this team! I LOVED this win and the way the took care of LA.
And I'm happy to find this site and some guys (and possibly girls) who love the Celtics like I do. I'm not
from Boston but I've loved the Celtics for over 25 years. This is fun!

The last time I saw the Celtics do this I was a kid. Now I am 40 with two little boys of my own. And all season, since the opening game, my four year old and I have watched "the Green team." He has worn his Celtics hat with pride he doesn't even really understand yet. He just saw daddy doing it.

Cry? Yeah, for a long, long time.

I love this team.

This is also my first title as a Celtics fan.

The tears just keep coming. I´ve never thought I could get this emotional.

17 BABY!!!!!!!
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I LOVE IT!!!

I cried a little seeing KG finally win it.  Same goes with Pierce and Allen, and the rest of the team.

GREAT job!!! Best performance EVER!!  And I got the chance to watch every single second.

They simply CRUSHED LA, and that's how I wanted it!!

Not only did they win, they won right. They won with respect, dignity and class. They were a group of men with a common goal, and they worked hard and focused every action on achieving that goal. Every player sacrificed for this team, and every player contributed in the playoffs. They didn't just win a championship. They did the franchise and its legacy proud. Every one of the people involved have performed well and conducted themselves with nothing but class, and to beat Kobe with all his stupid glares and attitude was a perfect example to set for every young Celtics fan enjoying their first title, myself included. Congratulations to the 2008 NBA Champions, and may the party continue long into the night. They didn't just win it, they earned it. We should all be proud.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."
