Come on, guys.  Don't we all want to see an epic Game 7?

If we lose tonight, I'm all for it!

I'm thinking tonight we're going to see a game 2 type spanking without the late comeback by LA.

Hey Redz.
Your help is needed at B..., I mean
ESPN!

What a game. What a team.
What a way to finish it.
Seeing Paul with the trophy = PRICELESS
I LOVE MY BOSTON CELTICS!

17, baby!

  • Let's Go Celtics
The ESPN replay is giving me chills, when I watch it on DVR I'll get chills.  I don't know when the chills will stop, hopefully never.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

I called the Celtics in 6. Think I can get one of their jobs? I mean they don't have a single Canadian. Thats wrong man.  ;D

i called it in 6 too. we should co-host. rebus & maestro present the nba. it's got a ring to it.

Sounds good to me.

17 on the 17th. Come on Cs, lets do this tonite!

The whole 17 thing is that the Celtics won their 17th championship, on the 17th day, in 6 games in the 6th month of the year, with the true MVP of the series scoring 17 points, what in the world. But then what made me trip out even more was that I just read a post that said Len Bias was drafted in June 17, 1986.

Don't forget they won the game in the 617 area code and that the two greatest former Celtics on hand to witness the event were #6 and #17. Coincidence, I think not!

It´s a slow day on CB, not much to talk about, and I thought it would be fun to read through the game 6 thread...I was right.  ;D

So, if you don´t like to read 4-months-old threads, I apologize.
To everyone else, enjoy.

Some of the best posts in here

There's no way the Celtics give up 23 points and lose a title clinching game. It's just not happening.

The Lakers hopes of making a run are abysmal. Kobe Bryant isn't playing well. Odom has done absolutely nothing to create a shot for himself or a teammate tonight. Gasol has done very little. None of their perimeter role players are showing up. They're not passing the ball well, they're not moving without the ball well. They're not shooting the ball well. They're not getting stops, they're not rebounding. Where exactly is a run coming from? There's no run happening from there. I don't see how they can turn all that around, make back 23 points, finish the game against a top side who's about to clinch their first title. It's just not happening.
WIN THE THIRD!  No funny business tonight boys, just a celebration, c'mon.

Is this real or a dream?  I'd pinch myself to find out but I'm numb from goosebumps as it is.

definitely the lakers...none of them appear to have a spine.
I'm painting my car green and putting CELTICS stickers all over it and I'm gonna drive it around Kobe's house in Newport Coast!! Good thing I have a fast car just in case the renta cops or NBA refs come.
Anybody calling Ray the weak link now?

and he's playing with one eye...

wasn't that allan ray, one of our various "saviors" last year?

(god last year seems so long ago! I was really rooting for allan ray!)
I love Doc right now.  That "not touching the trophy until I earn it"?  Beautiful, man, beautiful.

It's just so stupid, why play 82 games, 3 playoff series' only to get blown out by 40

 ;D
www.nba.com has a headline:  Paul Pierce and the Celtics OBLITERATE Lakers!
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.
