He's teaching .... Phil does this every series losing game. He wants the players he's going to rely on in the future to learn the intensity they need to bring and how to play against it. He also wants to drive home the misery of failure to supply self-motivation in the future.

I love the way Phil uses losses like this.

I actually was almost in tears at half-time.  I had to keep myself composed a little and remind myself there was still a half to play. 

I normally consider myself a Pats man, but I don't think I've ever been this emotionally involved in a team (that I haven't played on I mean).
