I'm like a lot of you in that I will criticize the players if they play poorly. I know KG didn't play too well and Rondo played poorly again but we are now playing at home and the analyzing should stop. We know we are better than them. We are tougher, stronger and want it more. I'm flying from Seattle to Boston on a red eye with my 2 brothers to make it there Tuesday morning. This will be the 2nd game of my life at the Garden (other one was Game 7 of Cleveland game) and hopefully the same result happens. We all like to criticize but do some of you realize we are only 1 win away from winning this whole thing. And the place we are trying to clinch at is in Boston. This is unbelievable. Unreal. Tomorrow could be the best day of my life. It could also be the worst time of my life if they lose 6 and 7. However, BUCK LA! We're not getting a hotel (leaving our luggage at the airport) and flying back the next morning. Now if they lose then it will really really really really suck but we ain't going out like that!

It's time baby! LETS GO CELTICS LETS GO CELTICS LETS GO CELTICS!! If you don't lose your voice by the end of the game then sell the tickets to someone because I want the Garden to rock like the old days that I see on ESPN Classic.

Like Dunk Ryders would say "BUCK THE OTHER SIDE!" BUCK LA! BUCK LA! BUCK LA!

you must not have been around during the Atlanta or Cleveland serieses.... if you think people are negative now, this board is tame compared to then - people were willing to slash doc's tires (some of you may actually have done that for all I know) people have calmed down and realized these are the best basketball teams in the world - you're not going to win every game, and guys will have bad nights. I think there is a calm here that is actually unexpected based on the culture of this place, and I find it refreshing, like when you get sand between your toes at the beach...

i was here. I definitely was part of that talk. Doc and Cassell were my targets. You know, if they would've won yesterday, my lasting impression on Cassell would've been good. If they win it all then Doc will always be the coach that won a championship and he will be remembered forever in my mind. I'm so nervous and pumped at the same time!

Now is the time to get out the frustrating and angry feelings.

Tomorrow is the time to whip up the fans into a frenzy.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
All I will say is that if we stopped analyzing and only participated in threads akin to a Celtics pep rally, this place would get pretty boring.

It's not like we're booing the team.  I doubt any of the players really care what anybody says on here, and once game time gets here, I'm sure the Boston crowd will be loud and 100% supportive.  In the meantime, I say discuss away.

(Plus, very few people are being overtly negative.  They're just talking about various different options available, etc.  The "KG choked" thread could be a bit negative, but even there, most people are keeping things in perspective.)

All the negativity in this town sucks. It sucks, and it stinks, and it sucks. - Rick Pitino

Once again Roy, your wisdom surpasses your years (even if you were like 80 I'd say that) - that's why the Beat LA thread is so awful, its also why I forget the exact quote, but after the C's destroyed Atlanta in game 7, Redz came on and put a thread about the lack of interest on the board that night.  Controversy, failure, setbacks, that's what make people want to talk.  As an optomist, it can get annoying seeing everyone think the world is ending, but it gives me a role to play.  Plus I can put up pictures of bunnies, and we all know that's awesome.

I'm a little concerned about some things but I'm in no way bashing the team. And when the game is on tomorrow night I'll throw all the positive waves in the air I can.
And perhaps a little gas from the beer too.

The Celts have made great use of their homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs.  The 2-3-2 format gives them an even greater edge now that they won one on the road and have held court at home.  They're in a fantastic position to win a title.
Yup

I believe we all want the same thing. But there are a couple of elements on the team that keeps one from totally buying into "its over.". Hopefully as a result of age one will be gone next year. Hopefully with age the other will keep gaining experience to help in his decision making.

The team should feel good.  Great game's from every LA role player won't happen in the Garden.

Let Kobe go 1 on 1 and keep punishing their front line.  How bout some Big Baby?  Let him use his 6 manhandling Pau and Lamar down low.

We should feel confident that No Lead is safe against this Celtic team.

I'll stop complaining when I see more POWE

I'm concerned the TDBG is going to make Sacramento and Utah houses sound like libraries on Tuesday.
