If the Celtics lose game 6 then they will most likely lose the series...i dont think the celtics can win ANOTHER game 7 and i also dont think that Phil Jackson and Kobe will let the Lakers lose a game 7.

I would be very concerned if the C's lose game 6, but I still think they will win game 7. However, the Perkins injury has me more concerned now than I was this morning!

I agree that Game 6 is pretty much a must win. However, the Lakers suck.. Really. I just don't think they're good enough to win two in a row in Boston.

Celtics have already won 2 Game 7's this post-season.  Why wouldn't I think they could do it again?

I still don't see it getting there, though.

I don't see this team allowing

1) three straight losses

2) two straight home losses.

I have seen nothing from he Lakers defense that makes me think they can win the next two games.

Game six is the charm, don't need to worry about any game seven until next year!!! Realistically once again the C's rallied back from being well down and could have done it tonight. If thats all the Lakers can offer they're in trouble, especially since they were at home...  Garnett, Pierce & Allen have been waiting for this moment their whole careers, they're not going to let it slide this time....Especially since they are at home.

What, exactly have the Lakers done to instill any confidence in their fans?

Celts are 11-1 at home.  I'm wholeheartedly confident in the Celts ability to finish this off in Game 6.  If it goes to 7 I'll feel the same way.  If the Lakers can beat the C's 3 in a row and twice on their home floor I'll be sold.  Lakers have had 3 dominant offensive spurts in this series and two of those spurts have come in losses.
Yup

Agreed, we lose Tuesday and I think we're in for the first 3-1 comeback in NBA finals history, which is why game 6 is more than a must win.

This is totally setting up for this too.  Everyone and there mother (outside of California, but even that might not be true) will probably be picking the Celtics to close out this series on Tuesday much like everyone outside of New England (and Tim Legler) picked the Lakers to win this in 5 or 6 games. *Gulp*

Let me just say that theoretically speaking if we commit a huge collapse and lose these finals, I will be convinced that the Red Sox will make it to the world series again and lose.  Fate has obviously set up for the three main Boston sports teams to make it to their championship and have it be ripped from their hands.

It would also be probably the most mind-boggling series loss in nba history because the Celtics are an obvious superior team and there would be no excuse for them to lose.

We with everything going on C's must approach game 6 as elimination game. Seems that injuries, Ray family health issue could cost the team this series. If the Lakers force game 7 Kobe will not allow the Lakers to lose game 7. Not much wiggle room the C's have to win game 6.
Lets go C's

I just have to disagree. Kobe might not want his team to lose but do you think our big 3 will allow the team to lose 2 at home? I just don't see it.

I definitely would be much less comfortable at a game 7 than a game 6, but it is nowhere close to a forgone conclusion that LA would win.  Pierce has already shown that he can match a superstar shot for shot in a game 7, and the C's are simply the better team.

My only worry about a game 7 is if the C's just keep getting more banged up.  At some point it is going to really catch up with them.

Get off of Kobe's nuts.  He's not good enough to "not allow" anything to happen.  He's not MJ.  He couldn't prevent a historic comeback and tonight the Lakers won in spite of his play, not because of it.

there is never any guarantee of anything and percentages only matter when looking at the big picture, game to game they're not relevant in terms of never has a team done X, or, team Y already did this and this, no way can they do it again. The question is given 2 games in Boston, do we think this C's team can beat this LA team once? My answer is a loud YES!
Now, on to 18...
