Air Intangibles
is there anyones number retired for intangibles though?(or roleplayers like posey)
its pretty rare, I think NJ retired Petrovic, but that's for different reasons - I think Loscy was supposedly an average player - an enforcer type, and he's up there, but again not common - I'm surprised Rodman isn't retired in Chicago, he brought so much to 3 title teams
here's a full list:
http://www.nba.com/history/retired_numbers.htmlafter looking, surprises are:
Chicago - no Pippen or Rodman
NJ - retired Buck Williams
Minnesota - retired Malik Sealy - I know its a bit taboo to say, but it seems if a player dies while on a team, his number is automatically retired, any exceptions to this? Petrovic, Bobby Phills, Reggie Lewis all up there...Len Bias I don't think had a number, plus never played a game
Sac Kings retired #6 for their fans...weird
and maybe the worst retired number of all time: Utah Jazz #53 Mark Eaton
