In his media availability interview. Doc said that Perk was good to go in game 5.  Said Perk and Rondo would start.  Good news.  I just hope Perk is able to function normally and not limited.

Update
I just read in the Globe that Perk wasn't as certain as Doc was.

Perk didn't use his left hand at all in practice and said that it was still 50-50 that he would practice.  Very strange that Doc would say that he had good motion and was moving good and Perk wasn't so sure.  Mind games with the Lakers maybe?

Hopefully this will bring all the "bring back Scal" talk to an end. ;D

I personally think that's bad news. He just does not match-up well in this series.

If Perk can't go Powe or Big Baby can handle Gasol.  All it takes is a high energy guy and Gasol backs down.  I never have been too impressed with his game, even when he was in Memphis.

I don't know if we are watching the same series.

has gasol scored once on Perk in the post? i honestly cant remember i dont think so - although he has backed down KG and dunked on him - Perk is too strong and gasol wants no part of him

I'm with you Chief... I haven't been happy at all with Perk's performance against the Lakers.  I was expeting much better from him.

His defensive help and rotation hasn't been as good in the series, and Gasol has exposed him quite a few times, especially early in games.

I liked his game 3 performance though, but overall, he has been underwhelming in my opinion.

I don't know about actual backing him down, but Perk has looked lost too many times for my liking on defensive rotations against the Lakers, leaving Gasol open for too many easy dunks or layups.

Actually I think Perk has done OK and I agree that Gasol hasn't been able to back Perk down. The problem is that when Perk has left Gasol to help on someone else and no one picks up Gasol. Sometimes it is Perk's problem (he steps out too quick and as a result leaves an easy entry pass to Gasol) and sometime it is his teammates failure to rotate. In an earlier game Posey failed to rotate a number of times which shocked me as Posey an normally a superb team defender. Also sometimes KG has failed to rotate and alternatively sometimes he has stepped out to help too quickly leaving Perk to guard two big men underneath. So Perk hasn't always played great but he had done OK and his energy has helped a lot at times. Also he has banged both Gasol and Odom to help KG. He is really needed for his "role".

I thought he got lost a lot in game 1, but since then I haven't had a real problem with his play.
