This is from the New Orleans paper today. Thought y'all might like to see the thoughts of a former Laker. There's more in the article.

"I'm a little torn," Scott said, smiling. "The only negative with P.J. is playing for the Celtics. I think he has played extremely well in the playoffs. If it wasn't for him, they might not have won a couple of series."

True to form, Brown has been a good fit for Boston as a backup center/power forward. No need putting an inordinate value on his numbers (2.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 23 playoff games, including 3.5 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in the Finals), because that has never been his measure.

"It's all the little things he does for you," Scott said. "The help defense, being in the right position, the solid defense."

All those little things add up, even for a team as star-studded as the Celtics. For Brown, they're about to help add up to an NBA title.

"That's what he went there for," Scott said.

That's what he'll leave there with, and even an old Laker doesn't mind seeing it happen.
