Now that we know that kobe aint no jordan, do you guys think if the current celtics team played the early 90's bulls we would of had a chance???

I think during jordans time he never ran into a defensive team like the currents celtics team. I don't know if utah had alot of pride but they wouldn't double team jordan religously like the celtics would have. Utah executed plays as good as i've seen before but their defense was never dominating.

Not being too bias favouring our beloved celtics team what do you think the outcome of the series would have been???

I think the celtics would have definitely tooken the bulls to game 7(not many teams did this to the bulls) but i think jordan and the refs would have prevented the celtics from winning even at home

This virtual matchup would be an amazing test for the celtics

Honestly, I don't think it would be that pretty.

Pippen on Pierce.  Jordan on Allen.  Grant could bother KG enough.  And how do we stop MJ?  We haven't seen an offense that good (because of MJ) or a defense that good in these playoffs yet.

wow, could you imagine Rodman and KG battling it out for rebounds?

How would we defend Toni Kukoc? Pippen would lock Pierce down....... but our team defense would lock Jordan down.... Jordan would lock Ray down.......

I think it would once again come down to the benches...... which bench plays better......

Longley vs Perkins....... PJ Brown vs Cartwright....... Rondo/House vs BJ armstrong/Kerr.....

This would be a dream matchup.

All I know is it would be a very low scoring series---- grinding out games.... all games would bein the 70-80 point range

You're combining some of the latter three-peat players with the first 3 peat.

And how exactly would we lock down Jordan?  If you put Pierce on Jordan, then how does Ray limit Pipp?

It will be a great series, a great matchup, we might not win against that team, but we'll give them a good run for their money. I dare say we would do better than the Utah Jazz, as for Kukoc, we have Posey. Also, don't forget, sometimes players' legacy will be increased after their playing days and especially when they won some championships (with all due respect to all the NBA greats), I think our team this year, similarly, will be seen greater by future fans than what we see them now. Anyway, my prediction is a series like this would go 7 games.
Anything is possible!!!

Well first of all that Bulls team was a dynasty.....in fact they had 2 dynasty's;

'91-'93 & '96-'98

This Celtics team is only 1 win away from their "1st" NBA Title.

Lets get 3 in a row then we can start comparing, but just on names alone.....it would have been a great series.

Under what set of rules?

Either way, I lean towards the Bulls.

If you can hand check and be physical away from the basket, the Celtics defenders are not used to it and it never stopped Jordon anyways.  Pierce would have to make a big adjustment.

If you can't hand check, watch out.  Jordon is probably going to average 40 points.
