Everyone is expecting this series to be over soon, and I hope it is over on sunday, but I'm wondering why people do not seem too worried that Pierce tweaked his knee, Rondo aggrevated his injured ankle, and Perk probably dislocated his shoulder. That's three of our starters! Although it may help us to go with Posey and House to spread the floor, who comes in for them if they start or get into foul trouble?

Ray Allen handled the ball most of the time House was in there and seems to play well off that. He in fact played the entire 48 min. The floor opened up with Rondo out. Posey, PJ and Brown handled the boards well as we are a good rebounding team anyway.

Pierce looks to be handling the knee well. The big 3 will make any other bench players look good. Rondo is a liability out there with his injury. What he gives us in defense, House will give us in points.

It's a legit worry, but they seem have overcome whatever's been thrown there way with guys getting banged up.  Perk being questionable at best would have worried me more in the Eastern Conference matchups.
Yup

I too am a bit concerned about Perkins, but if memory serves me the first time the Celts travelled west this year they had some bigtime injuries and overcame them.  Why should the last trip out west be any different?
I love my kids, call me a sap - it's true.

Yes, I am concerned.  PP just tweaked his(ankle?), KP isn't comming back(i think), RR is hobbled... and it took a once in a lifetime miracle to pull a victory.

If we get a chance to close it, we better do it before our injuries do us.

Yes I am a little. The extra day off can't hurt with all of the but Perk. Don't know how bad it will be for him.

Not really no. I'm not concerned about Pierce's or Rondo's injury. Perkins will be missed if he can't go but it's nothing the team can't work around. They only need one more win.

Good responses so far. I'm not too concerned with Pierce's injury, but I don't think Rondo will be healthy enough to help out and I think Perk is done. We may need Rondo's D and his penetration at some point, and we lose quite a bit of our size, rebounding, and overall intimidation without Perk, although we gain another shooter on the floor and more spacing if we go small, but if Posey gets into foul trouble, who do we go to? Is there any chance we may see Scal in game 5? He's got size, can shoot the three, and is deceptively effective defensively.

I don't think we'll see scal, but we might see Tony Allen at SF -- Doc will go small ball.

Does that mean Pierce at PF and KG at center. The only thing I don't like about that is that TA can't shoot the open jumpers off of double teams

I've been told that Scal can hit a three. But I can't remember seeing that this year. Is it true or an urban myth?

Now he could hit someone into the stands if need be.

Scals is a career .347 shooter from 3 point range.  Pierce is .363.  Not too much of a difference.

Not saying we'll see Scals or that we should, but he has been a decent 3 point shooter over the course of his career.
Yup

Yeah the Lakers are worried about our injuries going into the next game. They're afraid if Pierce's ankle gets any worse he'll probably drop about 40 on them.

I am a little concerned but this team has overcome injuries and difficulties all season.  We need to close this out on Sunday because the longer the series goes on, the more those injuries will be a factor.  If it goes to game 6, the flight back to Boston will more than likely affect all of them, putting us at a big disadvantage in game 6.
