if perkins can't play in game 5, who do we look to? pj couldn't last 48 minutes so i would say insert posey at the 4 and spread the floor.

thoughts?

I'd start Brown with Powe off the bench, and see how the Lakers come to defend that particular night. Small ball should be used only if going big is failing, and they're constantly trapping our main guys because of offensive ineptitude. I think Brown and Powe can defend themselves enough offensively to keep small ball as a last resort.

I'm more worried about Rondo, he isn't cutting it.

If Perkins can't play, I'd start Brown and let Powe be the first big off the bench and then attempt to use Big Baby if you wanna stay big.
do it

Just as Kobe always seems to say to the media(excuses after losing),we learn something tonight to take into the next game.I think we can honestly say that after winning,we learned in game 4,we play very well at small ball aganist this team,in spurts, maybe not the entire game, but i agree with inserting Posey at the 4. ;D

i think kendrick perkins seperated his shoulders. Devastating news. He has done a great job for us all playoff long

if he can't play i start powe , then bring in pj brown and posey

I don't think the lakers can defend , house, posey, and big three no matter who they put out there

as much as we love rondo that is the best lineup to put out most of the game next game to close this thing out and shut up all the espn analysts. (other than tim legler and jon barry i lost alot of respect for most of them).

Start PJ, then bring in Powe and BBD. Mix in some small ball when required.

Odom seems scared of Posey. For once, I vote for small ball. Let PJ and Powe give KG some rest.

I'd still start big w/ Powe or PJ. But then bring in Posey about 6 minutes in, and play him 30+ minutes.

Pau tends to play good aggressive ball in the first 3-5 minutes of each game. I wouldn't want KG wasting any fouls during that time.

We could be down 15 after 6 minutes. I'd stay small, then go big (Powe/PJ) at the 6 minute mark. Let Tony spell Allen and Pierce.

Isn't so nice to have these options. TP for Danny Ainge. This job should be his until he no longer wants it. Ownership should give him the Red treatment.

Rondo's play is what dictates the necessity for small ball, more so than Perkins'

When Rondo's struggling, Bryant becomes a help defender. That's why House was such a quietly integral part of the comeback yesterday. House keeps defenses honest, and he spreads the floor.

The main problem here is that neither Powe nor PJ can really guard Odom. The good news -- Odom is generally irrelevant anyhow. Therefore, my guess will be that whoever starts, we'll still see Posey at the 4 early on.

I wonder what happens to the guard rotation in this case, though. Will we see Sam at SG, or more Tony Allen? I am not sure which option I like more, to be honest...
