firstly, i'm not saying this is a sure thing. the most important thing is getting the job done - no matter where it is. personally, i'd like nothing more than to take this in la. it would be humiliating for them and put an exclamation point a completely dominant series for the celtics.

however, i can see how one would be torn on a decision.

winning at the garden gives us that feeling of unmatched euphoria. winning among our own. with our music playing. in front of our fans in our arena. in our city.

it's a dilemma that i never thought i would have. it's good to be a celtic right now.

Are you serious?  You beat Kobe and those smug Laker fans on their home court.  The Celtics are hurting and they don't need to extend this series, because Pierce, Perk and Rondo are not 100% and it could come back to haunt us if they let this series go 6 or 7 games.

yeah. that's pretty much what i'm hoping for.

but if i were given a choice i'd want to celebrate with our own. you summed up nicely my thoughts, but i'm riding a wave here and don't want to come back to land.

right on, bankshot.  listen last night was a great win but albeit just 1 win.  People on the radio this morning are acting like they won the thing.  The reality is although we are only one win away with 60% of our starting line-up banged-up, getting this next win will be difficult.  Let's finish off the Lakers in LA so Pierce can get his MRI.  I say this despite the fact that I have tickets for Game 6.  I would like nothing more than not to use them.

In LA!!

Pierce receiving the MVP finals...

No conspiracy... simply dominating a <insert positive superlative adjective> season!

As a half-season ticket holder who has tickets for game 6, I say win it in LA.  Don't extend this thing any longer than it needs to be.  Beat them in LA.

In LA.  Put them away while they're so stunned.  Don't give them even the slightest idea in their head that they can make this comeback.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

As much as I'd like to see this thing finished in person in games 6 or 7, finish this thing if you have the chance.

  • Yup
No brainer.  Win it ASAP.

History be [dang]ed - I don't care that no teams never come back from 3-1 in the Finals.  It's no guarantee.  All that winning it in Boston means is that the Lakers will have had another chance to come back.  Nope, nope, nope.  Win it in L.A..

Boston if we have to, would be swell too.
Yup

One of my kids is really hoping it goes 6 because he doesn't want the parade to happen until he finishes his finals.
