Paul is my all time favorite player.  I'm so happy for him.  I've been rooting for him to get the finals M.V.P all along, but I'll tell ya with the way Ray's been Playing it will be a tough call.

Our team is so awesome it's hard to decide who is your favorite player.  I just tend to think about different players at different times and "share the love" :)

As long as Paul has a stellar performance tomorrow he should be a lock for the M.V.P though.

Would be nice for him to win at home too on father's day.

Nice present for the old timers too.

Truuuuuuuuuth!

Father's Day is a great day to meet Victory. The Truth deserves the honor.

Couldn't agree more with you guys. Paul Pierce, the Truth, is the captain of this ship. A large part of our championship run so far is because of the Truth. No disrespect to the other guys but Pierce is the man, IMO, so far in this series.

This series has been a sort of vindication run for Pierce, who had to endure all those frustrating years before getting here. Hopefully, after all is said and done, no one will question the Truth's place in the legacy this proud franchise.

I completely agree ... and I hope the rest of the world has finally begun to see how amazing this guy is, and that shutting down Kobe is just one of the talents this guy has  on the floor that's under-rated. There's been few players in this league who have done as much as Pierce and gotten such little recognition ... hopefully these Finals will provide at least a little vindication for this truly great ball player! TP's for everyone here who has been so supportive of our Captain!

Pierce has done so many things for the Celtics in these Playoffs that it would be very hard to imagine before the beginning of this post-season! I mean,he's been my favorite player since 2001 and he was one basic reason that i became a Celtics' fan!!

In season 2005-06, he made unbelievable things, scoring 30+ pts for 12 consecutive games and, to me, he was that season's MVP! But, during these playoffs he has been more than the heart of this team!!

I'm telling you one thing : the day that i felt closer than ever to elimination during these playoffs, against the Cavs, he took his team and led us to the ECF!! He made it despite the fact that LEBRON JAMES made an incredible game and showed everybody that he wanted to go to the Finals once again this year... well, Paul beat Lebron and i think THAT was the huge step to the Finals!! I mean, the Lakers might be a better team than the Cavaliers but when you face with elimination, the guy that saves you from that(Paul Pierce) is becoming a hero!! If he hadn't stepped up, we would be home now and we wouldn't be celebrating!!!

All i have to say is...thanks Paul!!

And he did finish...

I totally agree ... and TP's for anyone who has such love for our Captain! He's the only reason that I remained a die-hard for all those "bleak" years, and the reason we've persevered through the hardest times this year! Here's hoping he finally gets the recognition deserved ... with a Playoffs MVP!

I was not always a believer, but now I see the truth.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.
