I think to win the Finals, we have to have a series where we impose our will against our opponent.
If our defense can do that for the next 3-4 games we will win this series.
If Kobe imposes his will against us, we will lose.
I know everyone thinks 2-1 and that lone Laker victory wasn't pretty for them...but a series can change so quickly...if the Lakers even this up they will have so much confidence to take a lead against us in Game 5.
I still see us leading if not winning it all...heading back to Boston...one way or the other.
But we must impose our will and our game over their's.
I remember Hakeem doing it in the Finals with his unstoppable post moves and shot blocking (27ppg, 9rpg, 3.9bpg)
Shaq also had an unbelievable Finals against the Nets, in a sweep he averaged 36/12/3bpg on 60% shooting.
I remember Wade doing it (with the benefit of officials), but he was the aggressor and made the refs blow the whistle...while Dirk shot fadeaways over James Posey and didn't show much aggression.
I remember Jordan imposing his will every Finals and he would not let his team lose Game 6...to never play in a Game 7 where anything can happen.
Our team needs to impose our defense cause that is our hallmark and we need our guys to pound the Lakers on the inside and hit them where it will hurt....where when they feel it they know they can't do a thing about it.
