I'm concern about tonights game if Rondo is only 50% healthy. :o

"No one is 100% at this point, but I was probably 50%. Coach made the right decision taking me out because I didn't have my quickness." (Rajon Rondo)

That's what he said after the game.

The hope is that he is much better now

My concern is his percentage for this upcoming game... If he's 50% and concerned about his quickness 48 hours ago, how much better could he be? Can we win this game without Rhondo?

I wish he would stop giving percentages to the media.  I think he should keep his mouth closed about his injury.  Don't give LA ANY information.  Just say you expect to play and leave it at that.

Just a young fella sprouting off

There's no way the trainers allow Rondo to check back in the game the other night if he was only 50%. None, no way, not possible.

Just a youngster over-dramatizing on his blog because 50% sounds worse than 85%. Makes his post look more impressive.

I'll believe it when a trainer says that figure.

I've played on a few sprained ankles in my time and think 50% might be correct. The ankle will effect defense, shooting, rebounding, ....

If it's not 100%, I think I'd prefer him just to rest it.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Supposed he just said that so Fisher tries to attack him instead of laying back, and he blows by him all night?!?!

I wouldn't put a lot of stock in anything he or any player publicly says.  If I were him, with a blog like that, I'd lie and say I was more hurt than I actually was.

Hopefully Doc's also blowing smoke up Phil Jackson's butt with this Tony Allen talk as well.

We'll see how Rondo moves tonight.  How injured he actually is should be evident very quickly.

I think this is Doc's best attempt at psychological warfare with Phil, and he's failing miserably. Phil easily realizes it and calls his bluff. I mean, Doc can't be that dumb to suddenly insert the turnover machine that is Tony Allen after we almost took a 3-0 lead in the NBA finals while playing horrible offense.

Lakers4Life had a very short career at CelticsBlog.  It's actually toned down a bit since the break before the series started.

Yea Rondo rightfully got some "shiett" for saying this but this also could possibly help out the Celts if LA thinks he's hurt and he's really not that bad. He might have been 50% in game 3 but I'd take a 85% Rondo for game 4. Doc said he wouldn't play if he was 100%. I think he'll play but his minutes will be cut short. Doc should have a short leash on him if he does play.

Here's some more info of one of the daily links
Quote
Wearing a hard plastic brace on his left ankle - and, when talking to reporters, no shoes - Rondo described the injury as a bone bruise. He felt less pain after treatment with ice and a night of rest, and he expects to feel even better with another 24 hours to heal.

“I can walk on it,” Rondo said, adding that he wouldn’t be able to wear that brace during the game. “I made a walk around the hotel and I was limping a little bit, but the farther I walked the better it got.”

On Wednesday, Rondo was on the floor for the stretching drills, but he took part in about half of them and appeared to be going at about half-speed. The rest of practice was closed to the media, and the Celtics were not planning a shootaround on Thursday morning.
