Yes it is nice that they played their worst game and nearly won, that is a good sign.

But - the title was theirs to take toinght, and you wish a couple more guys would have snapped out of it and grabbed it.

Once again, we were unable to step on our opponent's throat and put them away.  They haven't been able to do it all playoffs long and the trend continues.  They had the title of their dreams in their grasp, and let it slip away.  A lot of pressure on us in Game 4.  Most of us think just one win in LA will give us the title, don't want to let another chance go by the boards.  We lost that one, lakers have all kinds of momentum and the Celts don't have homecourt to fall back on for Game 5.  I'm looking for KG and Paul to come back big Thursday night and respond to their awful games.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Apart of me is a conspiracy theorist but no matter the outcome of this game the NBA is looking to milk this at least 5-6 game at the least. The league has been so shady lately that it can't erase that kind of thinking from me at least.

Well if that's true then they must've paid off KG and Paul quite a bit to give this one away.  The refs had nothing to do with this loss, our stars didn't step up.  That's basketball, not a conspiracy.

Well, I do believe I said 'no matter what the outcome of the game is...' I was not blaming the refs for this game. Future games? I don't know. That is why I am being a conspiracy theorist.

I'm more of a glass half empty kinda Guy. I don't believe in moral victories. They played horrible. Especially KG and Paul. The thing that kills me is they beat themselves. Was that Paul or John Starks? Too many fade away jumpers. Not enough picks or movement on offense. I'm disgusted.

Yup ... especially the two guys who have been carrying their respective teams on their backs for over a decade and say that this is their "lifetime dream" ... you'd think the culmination of a career and the chance of a lifetime would be enough impetus to make KG and Paul play their best games ever ... it's absolutely baffling to me!

Well, I don't know if I would feil this under in moral victory folder.

Just, to me, it showed me that LA can't beat the Celtics 4 times if the Celtics play okay.
