How does doc play powe 6 min??

HOW?? does he only have a window of opportunity to miss 3 and he gets seated?? He gets you 21 points last game and you play him 6???

I know kg and pierce had pathetic games but powe needed to play a little bit more(he was doing good out there going to the line, taking a charge)

I really believe doc doesn't know how to coach sometimes. Just cuz your starting lineup is y our starting lineup you don't have to always put them out there in the 4th hoping you will win. You don't have to stick with pj brown out there cuz once played in your era and you respect him. It should be common sense that if one of your player is hot, you give him a chance

Phil jackson is not the best ever as many think but at least he is consistant. Every player in his bench gets the same mins everytime

also doc probley realized as we did sitting at the house here watching it that leon would have to be mugged to get a call. the only call they did give him was only because it was so ridiculously blatant with his arm being yanked back as he went up one handed.

give phil his props, he guaranteed that his team could abuse "pow" in the post tonight and no calls were coming. there's a reason phil pointed him out, the lakers really don't have much of an awnser for him other than to constantly foul him.

(on a side note: KG this could be you, but you'd get the calls and destroy the lakers. for the love of red kevin, go to the basket against pau once in awhile, he's never going to stop you. you did it 3 times tonight and all three times you got fouled or a fantastic look.)

I totally agree about Powe not getting 21 every night, but at least he was attacking the hoop.  I think that when K.G is as cold he was tonight Leon should just stay in there until he fouls out or makes some magic.

The real tragedy though was Doc leaving PP in there who is clearly feeling his injury.

On the brightside... even with bad shooting they still kept up with the Lakers, they just need to finish it up.

Doc has coached a good series.  I'm warming up to him.  But he fell back into bad habits down the stretch there.

paul wasn't feeling the injury, and he was barley in the game. its tough to get going when your riding the bench every 4 minutes. i fully expected the joey crew to sit paul down as much as possible, and they did. and powe attacking the rim was good, but it was bltently clear that the refs weren't going to call anything for him tonight. again, there's a reason phil called him out, there bench unit has zero answer for a strong inside guy but to hack, and they did it all night on leon and got away with it. thats all phil playing the refs.

Erm, no. Leon Powe is not Kevin Garnett. You don't go out of your way to get him established. You ride that horse while you can, and then have your stars finish the game.

So yeah, I am fine with no Powe, but I also didn't think PJ was playing all that well. All in all though, we lost this game because of poor offensive execution. We knew way in advance that this is a make-up game in terms of refereeing, and I wouldn't even be p---ed if we weren't in a position to win it despite that. Blah.

for the record guys this is pretty standard for Doc. He's done this a ton of times with young guys who played a great game one night and parked his butt the next.  Like Glen Davis going for 25 against the Pistons, then getting a DNP the next game against the frickin' Bobcats

Doc coaches much more situationally than Jackson who might tweak his rotation a little but is otherwise consistent, something that comes with 9 rings!
