Paul Pierce is carrying us through the playoffs.  Every time we need a win, he delivers.  Look as his clutch games:

First round, game 5.  Celtics need a win or will face elimination on the road.

22 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists,

First round, game 7.  The Celtics needed to put the Hawks away early, and Pierce delivers.

22 points (game high), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, +33 for the game.

Second round, game 5.  Another crucial game 5 and Pierce delivers.

29 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists.

Second round, game 7.  The Celtics need every one of his 41 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Conference finals, Game 6.  For the first time in the playoffs, the Celtics eliminate a team on the road.  Pierce shakes off one of the all time terrible Salvatore calls.

27 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists.

NBA finals, game 1. Carried off the court, Pierce returns to drill two huge threes and hit crucial free throws.

22 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in only 31 minutes.

NBA finals, game 2.  The Celtics are only up 2 and on the verge of giving up the biggest comeback in NBA playoff history.  Pierce  drives, gets fouled, and makes 2 free throws, effectively saving the game.

28 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists with a sprained knee.

Personally, I'm not surprised in the least ... he's been doing it for over a decade.  ;D

There's going to be a lot for us to overcome while we're in LA.  One major thing we'll have going for us out there is that Paul absolutely loves playing out there.  I expect there to be some more games to add to this list from the upcoming week.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Kg deserves alot of credit for what he has brought to the team. But I know that everyone agrees Pierce has not gotten nearly enough credit in the media. He cannot be ignored now that he is in the final though. Good for him.  :)

Rondo just said that same thing in his postgame press conference.  He was asked if he was impressed at Paul's performance and he said no, he wasn't impressed at all because that's what Paul does all the time. 8)

Pierce has outperformed Kobe so far in this series. 8)

Feels real good after enduring the Kobe lovefest before the series started.  Funny how no one is mentioning that Paul is outplaying their darling Kobe.

postseason-wise, he's been doing it great this year. it's the longest post-season of Pierce. When I tought i saw enough of Pierce greatness, he suddenly became that star im always dreaming of since 2002.

and lastly, I love Pierce!!  ;)

And as long as Kobe is happy with the shot looks he is getting, this will not change.

It's been great to see Pierce finally get the recognition he deserves from those in Boston as well as the rest of the nation....er....world!
