Could Pierce be the 2008 Celtics version of Schill?

Remember in 2004 where Curt risked his career to participate and ultimately contribute to the Red Sox championship run?

We probably won’t know until after the playoffs (when he has his MRI and if surgery is needed) but I could easily see this shaping up to be a major unifying and motivating factor.

Your leader risking it all (not to mention that he is not 100%) to be in the Finals and wanting to give all so he can help propel the Celtics to the promised land.

Priceless!

No offense, but this topic is horrible. Why would you even raise this today?

god, WHY can't we just take basketball as basketball around here? i get so sick and tired of hearing people parallel the celtics to ANYTHING the redsox or patriots have ever done or gone through.i know we're a big sports town, and we're good at everything. but it's the NBA finals! not NFL, not MLB.sorry, i just hate my local sports coverage (or lack thereof), and you happened to bring this up...as one poster said above: 2008 paul pierce is 2008 paul pierce.
