I know this has been alluded to before.... but the music during timeouts, the dancers, the who wants a t shirt.... all that stuff is such a buzzkill to the natural energy of the crowd. Can we somehow get a message to the celtics..... PLEASE LET THE CROWD DO ITS THING WHEN THE CROWD IS DOING ITS THING. If we make a big play, and the lakers call a timeout... DONT INSTANTANEOUSLY SWITCH ON THE MUSIC AND CUE THE DANCERS, WHEN THE CROWD IS GOING NUTS CHANTING MVP, BEAT LA, LETS GO CELTICS, OR JUST STRAIGHT UP GOING BANANNAS. If they could just leave the artifical sound out at certain points... the atmosphere would be amazing. It would mean a WHOLE HECK OF A LOT MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE... and dont think that would be lost on the players. That would pump them up more than anything... the sporadic all out chants of appreciation, and support. I like The defense clap clap. I like the Lets go celtics. the charge song is a buzzkill. Can someone help relay this message to the celtics... I've sent them numerous emails, but obviously they arent listening.

Sorry to say it but in-game entertainment is here to stay.

As much as I dislike a lot of it, I've come to the realization that its going to be there and I'll have to put up with it.

I do agree, though, that there are some instances where the crowd is really rollin' and into a chant or something and all of a sudden, they start cranking out something over the PA which definitely kills it.  That sucks.

Amen.

The Cs have, in the past, actually denied piping in enhanced noise.  Yeah, right.  It cheapens the whole experience of the game.

4 posts and 4 TPs? Good ratio!

Honestly, I thought they really toned it down last night.  They seemed to be allowing the crowd to control the noise more than they have all season.

To tell you the truth, there was a very strange vibe there last night.  It was quieter than it has been through most of the playoffs, but the crowd wasn't dead.  It was almost as if everyone was just so nervous, that they didn't know what to do.  Chants didn't catch on, and people (some who are ussually crazy all game) were sitting on their hands.

It really didn't change until the 4th quarter...and especially once the C's built up a bit of a lead.

I just think the crowd was tighter than the team...but I am expecting things to be much looser on Sunday.

Chris, I definitely agree with what you're saying about last night's crowd.  I think you summed it up perfectly, we were tight.  It was back and forth and tight the whole game.  It was a game that was in doubt for much of it.  I'm not gonna lie, I was sitting there with my arms on the rails, nervous as hell.  Intensely into the game, not necessarily the chants.

However, that crowd did explode in the 4th quarter.

Agreed and agreed.  I can understand that there's a reasonable place for some of that during the regular season, but this is the playoffs...most of us know what to do, and the rest can just follow along.
Good food, like good music and good love, always requires a little sweat in the making in order for it to be truly memorable.

No artificial noise at all would be nice, but from what I can tell the Garden plays the least artificial sound in the NBA. I think C's management is aware that the fans want a classic environment. In this day and age though, some artificial noise is unavoidable.

Sure I'll get right on this. Let me get them on the phone.

While I'm at it I'll ask them to lower the Balcony seat ticket prices from $145 dollars and we'd like to only pay $3 for a beer not $7.50, if I'm paying $7.50 I want it to come in diamond studded pimp cup like the one Snoop has.
