Has anyone heard anything explaining why Cassell played over House? Cassell was really forcing shots and not really playing in the offensive flow. I realize he hit some shots, but they seemed of the forced variety.
It is not clear to me that the NBA Finals is a time to experiment with lineups. I put that mildly. . .but seriously -- is the NBA finals really when you want to experiment with rotations?!?!?! I guess the question is whether Perkins was playing SO poorly that you need Brown and Powe out there at the same time.
Regardless, I think the Brown/Powe/Cassell lineup combination is not a great one, especially when one of the other players on the court is Posey, as opposed to playing both Pierce and Allen with them. Even if Cassell hit a few shots in game 1, it is a disaster waiting to happen.
Unfortunately, I worry that the problems this particular rotation could cause were masked by Paul Pierce's amazing recovery (that is another serious issue for Game 2, but that is for another thread).
Go Celtics!
