With all the hype about the history and rivalry between the celtics and lakers does anyone know if there is anything planned about having some of the legends from the past being at the garden in perhaps a pregame ceremony or anything. I think it would be great to see some of the guys from the past being in the garden routing on the Celtics. It would be great if they could get together as many of the 86 team as possible to be on hand for one game, not that they need to do this to pump up the crowd because we all know that the house will be rockin.

We'll probably see Antoine at one of the games. I think he was at one of the earlier playoff games. I think it was in the Cleveland series.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

If past history is any indicator, there will be plenty of ex Celts that will get plenty of Jumbotrondumbusdown time.

It being Game 1 of the Finals I'm sure there will be some sort of "official" celebration before the tip giving tribute to the stars of the past.  Perhaps some past Celtics/Lakers rivalry participants from both sides - that might be kinda fun.
Yup

It'd be awesome to get the entire 86 team there for game 1 and 2....... We could ask Bird to play if the game comes close so he could nail some shots for us.... He may be out of shape but I know he can still shoot.... and probably outshoot anyone on the floor

After watching the interviews between Russell and K.G. i think it would be awesome if he was in attendance.

I know Russell will definitely be, at least, at Game 2.  He's scheduled to do appear on the ESPN set in the Garden.
