I'm curious. When I first thought about it, I naturally thought I'd prefer to see the C's win it all on the parquet with the crowd rushing the court. But the more I think about it, I really love the idea of seeing a Celtic green celebration on the Lakers' court. It just seems like it would be supremely satisfying to celebrate on their home court - sort of a rub-it-in-your-face gesture towards the national media and the arrogant Laker fans.

What do you think?

If we win in LA it means we just owned the Lakers in 4 or 5 games.  I'm totally cool with that.

I honestly couldn't care less.  Win 4 before you lose 4, doesn't matter where or when or how.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Unless they can move Game 4 to Boston, I'll settle for clinching in L.A.  8)

I think I will be happy in either place.  But it would be nice to win it in Boston, in order to give some history to the "new" Garden.

I'm not responding to this out of jinx fear.

However, I'll leave it at this.  No major sports world championship has been clinched on Boston soil for the home team since the '86 NBA Finals.  22 years.

Win it in LA.  I want to see them take down those balloons one at a time!

In LA would be sweet not only to shove in their face but also it would be a nice finishing touch to a playoffs in which they hadn't many raod wins.

I'd like to see the Lakers win it in Boston, with Phil Jackson lighting up a cigar in the closing moments of the clinching game as he surpasses Auerbach.

Doesn't look like I'll be present in either event.  Just win it.  Don't care where.

It was merely intended to be good old fashioned trash talk, referencing one of the best methods of "trash talk" of all time (Red's cigar), in a rivalry that's almost as old as the Hatfields and McCoys.

My apologies if I offended you or anyone else, it wasn't what I was going for. All in good fun. With that being said, if the board is that sensitive to such things, it's certainly not the place for me to discuss with rival fans, as I'd prefer somewhere where a bit of rivalrous banter is accepted.

Take care.

We're not big into trash talk here, no.  Lakers fans are allowed to debate the merits of their team, and no Lakers fan has been edited or warned for doing so.  However, trash talk aimed at Red Auerbach is beyond the pale.  By the very nature of trash talk, you're intending to provoke a negative response, and that's not allowed here, as our posting rules make very clear.

In the event that you choose to move on, best of luck to you, although not to your team, obviously.
