Pierce comments about Kobe on Sportscenter?

My girlfriend told me she saw this, so I don't know how accurate it is.... but she said Pierce was on Sportscenter and was asked about facing Kobe.  His reply was, paraphrasing, "I think it's time he faced the best defense in the NBA."

Now... true... but do we really need to be challenging or enticing Kobe?

Didn't see it but even if it is true at this point I think bulletin board material is overrated.  If you need extra motivation at this point then you might as well stay home because I would like to think all the players will be giving their all every possession of every game.  Might be wishful thinking but I don't see how anyone could be "more" motivated at this point.

Yeah, the paraphrasing is a bit off and taken a bit out of context. Pierce was asked a question, about how they'll handle Kobe, and he simply said something along the lines of he'll be going against one of the better defenses, we'll need to be a bit physical with him, etc.

This isn't a taunt as the paraphrasing in the OP is making it out to be.

Thanks, I actually figured I didn't have it right.  When I asked if anyone else saw it, I was trying to get a more thorough explanation of what was said.
