I haven't seen this on CB yet, so I hope I'm not starting a thread for something already said.

It says TA will not likely to play in finals, and by the sounds of Doc, he was planning to play him against. What are your thoughts?
Anything is possible!!!

The only prescription is more Scalabrine.

I think Doc was only being nice dropping that line about how well TA performed against Kobe. I don't believe he was planning using him more than 1 mpg. It can be more useful to have Scal in the bench, he can fill some minutes defending Odom/Rad if our frontcourt falls in foul trouble. Anyway, I hope Tony Allen recovers quickly from his injury.

I think we have seen the last of our friend Tony Allen in a Green and White uni. But if he goes out with a bang and a ring, I think he'll be o'kay with that.

Yeah, this isn't a big deal.  Barring an injury, Tony wouldn't have seen the light of day anyway.  Allen and Pierce need to be on the court a lot to keep up with the Lakers and Posey needs to be on the court to guard Kobe.  That's enough of a minutes crunch as it is.

Meh it'd be a big deal if this was the Tony Allen who actually had some confidence and was able to actually finish, but the Tony Allen we saw this year doesn't help us too much in the Finals.

My only guarantee for this series.  If Scal's plays it will either mean something really good has happened for the first 46 minutes of the game, something really bad has happened for the first 46 minutes of the game.  Anything in the middle would be a shocker.

Amen to that Bassthumper. Those on here that are continually picking on Scal are just looking to stir up things. Scal is way better than any of them will give him credit for. On this team he isn't going to get a tremendous amount of minutes. I wouldn't put him in over Leon necessarily, but I guarantee that he would be off MY bench long before BBD would. Had he played enough minutes to keep confidence in his outside shot he could have been a plus for us. The guy knows how to play team defense and doesn't make mistakes. He is the anti-Tony. TA is all athleticism and no brains. Scal is all Basketball IQ and low athleticism. I'll take the latter over the former any day. I smiled when I saw him on the bench in uniform game 5.

I agree with BASSTHUMPER and EJPLAYA. Even though Scal isn't that great of an offensive player. He doesn't make mistakes and play good defense. I would rather have Scal on my team than Tony Allen when it comes down to it. I guess people pick on Scal because of his appearance.  :-\

Scal on Kobe. Kobe will be so confused he'll start turning the ball over.  ;)

No doubt Bass...I'm just saying he's not going to get any minutes unless it's a blowout.   I guess we could throw in extreme foul trouble, needing to have a guy use up a foul in the last 2 minutes of a period when you have one to waste or an unspeakable rash of injuries or suspensions, as other possible scenarios for Scal getting PT.  Though the same probably could have been said for Tony Allen at this point.
Yup

Scal is actually pretty good defending power forwards, and I think he can cover either Odom or Gasol if necessary.  He's not going to give much on the offensive end, but in any situation where we need to make something happen on defense, I'd be perfectly fine with Scal in there.

By help, I hope you mean carrying the Big 3's luggage on the West Coast trip. I would not want Paul, Ray, or KG to injure something carrying all those suit cases.
