Is it even going to be remotely possible to get tickets online from Ticketmaster at 2:00 when they go on sale?

That's how I got 2 seats for Hawks Game 1 & Cavs Game 7...it is difficult but not necessarily impossible.  It requires a lot of luck!

Nope just one (like I said I was very lucky)...that's the nice thing about office work, you are always right near a computer  :P

And you better believe I will be here trying for Game 1 today

I'm hoping the rush will be for Game 1 and I can scoop up some game 2 tickets since that's the only one I can fly into town for.  I know choosing best available will only give you the super expensive seats so do you have any strategy for getting decent affordable seats using their options.

Actually believe it or not, best available will probably keep you in the balcony!  Most, if not all, of the loge seats have already gone to the season ticket holders and the Richie Riches, so if you pick 2 best available, it is very likely they will be in the balcony.  When I called about playoff strips before the playoffs began, I was told they were only available in the balcony.

If you want to be sure, you can break the options down by section and choose balcony.  That takes another 2-3 seconds though, which is crazy as it sounds, could make a difference.

I will say if you get 2, think hard before you turn them down and try to get cheaper or better ones...that may be your last shot at tickets at face value...

Good luck to all of you that will be trying.

im online trying to score tickets right now but apparently that report that u colud get them at tickemaster or celtics.com today at 2 was a total lie. it keeps telling me they arent on sale yet. not on sale yet?. they'll be sold out within five minutes from now!

EDIT: man that is not fair at all. The thing didnt even give you the option to search for tickets until 2:06 and by then they were already sold out. Is this a conspiracy or what?

Same thing happened to me and 3 co-workers...I got timed out hitting refresh too much, but I didnt feel too bad knowing that it wouldn't have mattered...

It does totally suck though, and makes me regret not buying 2 strips

It's pretty ridiculous when you go to stubhub and see hundreds of seats available...sorry I'm not paying $300 just to get into the building.

i tried for the hell of it.  Had been hitting refresh (on both games) over and over and over again until the option was available to buy.  Either it sold out in .1 seconds or there was never any available on ticketmaster to begin with.

You can probably thank the "legalized" scalping operations that employ their outsourced Indian Army to snag every available seat in the first 5 seconds. Really p---es me off.
