Five of them go for the Lakers in Six
Two go for the Lakers in Five
Only one goes for the Lakers in Seven

They not only like the Lakers but by a decent margin too.

I was surprised

I thought we'd see the picks at 5-3 Lakers or 6-2 Lakers. Not 8-0. I thought Hollinger would go Boston. And I thought these two messers - Sheridan/Broussard - would rate Boston highly also. I thought Thorpe/Adande/Stein/Abbott would all be in the Lakers camp anyway so I'm not too suprised there. Those four have all made a lot of positive comments for the Lakers title chance. Leaving Chad Ford as a big swing vote.

Most of them picked the Pistons, too.

Celts are 16-3 in the Finals, including 8-2 against LA.

Lakers are 14-14.

Historically, we've got them right where we want 'em.  8)

i thought hollinger and ford would go with boston, but then i'm not too surprised really. throughout the season stein and abbot have rarely praised the celtics, and everyone seems to have jumped on this lakers bandwagon. everyone.

yeah, and casting my mind back i'm sure everyone picked dallas to beet miami in 4 or 5.

i think really it's just a matter of opinion isn't it. in the finals, form goes out the window and the best team usually wins (with the odd exception for example the aforementioned mavericks-heat series).

How many experts picked the Giants in the Super Bowl?

The Celts are nowhere NEAR that kind of "underdog".  Lakers steamrolled through the West so they get style point from the critics.

Celts last night showed me the kind of grace under pressure I've been waiting for all playoffs.

Celts in 6 - ecperts be [dang]ed.
Yup

Everyone over at ESPN is slobbering over each other to be the first and the loudest to proclaim Kobe the greatest of all time if he wins this finals.

9/10 go for la now. and the brave little guy that goes for the celtics goes for us in 7.

it would be so sweet to prove every one of them wrong (other than tim legler).

the giants are an unfair comparison... they were underdogs all the way through....
i don't really take much stock in what the "experts" say anyway.. just this morning on mike and mike on espn2 greenburg said the only reason the celtics beat detroit was because the pistons simply "quit playing".... and keep in mind, most picked detroit in 6.....

Celts in 6... fans storm the court and Pierce lights up a stogie in the locker room as they hand him the finals MVP trophy....

Don't pay attention to those idiots at ESPN.  All of the true fans, of both camps, know that this will be just a tough series - I am a Laker fan and am making no predictions, for either team!  It is always the intangibles that win games, and you can't calculate that on a computer.

At least you guys were supposed to be here in the Finals at the end of the season.  They were already kicking the dirt over the corpse of my team from the start of the season, so you might imagine that I feel elated just to have arrived to the Finals after such an inauspicious beginning - rather like a case of "miracle healing"!

So, regardless of these dufuses, the results will come out from the games played on the court, and will be important mostly to us, the real fans of both squads.  Long live our rivalry!

Ummmm...hate to burst their bubbles but IMHO "experts" as related to sports analysis are just people paid to give their opinion.

The only difference between them and us is that they are paid.

Are these the same "experts" that had the Bulls/Pistons coming out of the East? ;D ;)

Are these the same "experts" that said the Celtics have "no bench" and "weak players at the pg and C positions"?

Same "experts"? I hope so ;)
