Haha, made you look!  Sorry, I'm a little giddy right now, and I may or may not have been drinking...

...but yeah, some great moves tonight by Doc, especially trusting Garnett after the fourth (and fifth) foul, and putting Posey on Billups (who was chewing up Ray and Rondo) for the stretch run.  I'm rewatching the 4th quarter right now and we completely put them on their heels after the 10 point deficit.  We even stretched a lead a bit during the usual horrendous end of 1st quarter Cassell 'n' PJ stretch. 

And seriously, the first poster to agree with the topic heading is due for a severe E-slappin by me, cause WE ARE IN THE FINALS BABY!!!

Doc did us proud tonight and I have been pretty hard on him expecting perfection...Good Job Doc tonight(posey in the 4th and Ray Ray again at the end worked like a charm) and the Celtics...I close my eyes and see that banner 17 being raised to our rafters....Thank God- our weekend just got a Hell of a lot better!! OMG, you ARE brilliant!  I survived M.L., Rick, Jimmy (not Obie, I kinda liked him) and I'm not in the mood to give up on Doc yet--though I want Thibodeau and Clifford Ray chained to the wall just in case.

Well I have been drinking! Correction..... I'm still drinking. And while I have problems with Doc's player rotations from time to time I think he did a good job tonight.
I was strangely happy that KG got into foul trouble. It gave Posey a chance to FINALLY come in a get some play time. And I'm happy that Doc gave him the time over Davis.  I'm so happy right now I can't even talk about it.

I just need to call and point out to all my Piston's fan friends who said that because Boston went to 7 games against the Hawks that they must not be a good team......
The Hawks turned out to be more of a challenge then their team!

Okay, *now* I am ready to give Doc his due.  Doc, you are a good coach.  Nice job keeping three all stars/ super stars focused on the end goal.  Great job getting to the finals, and great job to the Celtics for an awesome, come from behind in the 4th quarter to pull out the Win on the road in Detroit of all places.  So awesome.

I think that will be key over this next week.  Lakers are the Kobe team.  Doc needs to emphasize that the Celtics are the Ubuntu team.

I think he's getting vastly underrated. He's really a defensive genius, and the way they played the Celtics this year taught me that what they did last year was really no fluke. I disagree with a ton of the things he does, particularly with his substitutions and how he runs the offense, but overall I think he keeps his team well motivated for the most part, and the way he gets the players to play some great defensive schemes is very valuable.

Sure, he got out coached by Pops in the finals (who doesn't?), but he out coached everyone for the most part (riding LeBron quite hard) during their playoffs run.

Despite the obvious temptation to use this as another "Criticize Doc" thread, I'm glad it wasn't thus, and I'll be tongue in cheek and join in the giddy celebration .... awesome win, and a great job by Doc of making the correct adjustments and calling a good game! Still want to see Eddie more, but hopefully that will come in the Finals ... can't believe I can say the words "Finals" and "Celtics" with only a two-word separation! Awesome job, Doc ... really great win!
