I almost put my fist through my car stereo yesterday listening to the Big Show on WEEI discussing matchups for the Finals vs LA. Can we please wait until the Celtics win this series.  While I'm confident in the Celtics chances it would bot be an absolute shocker to see Detroit turn things around.

I'm as tantalized as anyone by the prospect of renewing the age old Celtics/Lakers rivalry.  The Lakers have done their part already, but until the Celts win a 4th game in this series I can't bear to talk about details of a matchup against L.A..

It's not even superstition.  It's just not being presumptuous.

Detroit has done it before.

GO CELTS!  Make it so it's OK to talk about playing the Lakers.

My two cents...
Yup

Exactly!!!!

I am tired of hearing these comments about matchups vs. the Lakers or analysis of C's vs. Lakers in the Finals....We cannot lose focus, Detroit is a very good team. We have to take care of them tonight and kick in the door to the Finals...then for the next week we can talk all the matchup, breakdown, ish......

Celts come out tonight with great energy and punch the Pistons in the mouth!!!!!!!!!!

I don't for a second believe the Celtics have their focus on anyone other than the Pistons (and if they do then deserve what they get).

Those in bloggerville's focus...Not so sure, but seems like there has been a good amount of defensiveness about not getting ahead of ourselves.

Amen.  Everytime I hear about the LA/Boston matchup, I think about Coach Cowher back in 2001 when he said he already packed his bag for the Super Bowl prior to the game against the Patriots.

Detroit is still alive and kickin' and they're thinking nothing but the Celtics.

I see Sheed exploding tonight so the C's better be ready. Looking ahead to LA is stupid and hopefully no one on the team is doing so. Detroit is the 2nd best team in the league, LA is 3rd, I would still worry about the matchups in the this series. Hey I wonder how they matchup against Shaq/Kobe Lakers or Jordans Bulls?

see im not as confident as everyone else.  I think this team is mentally soft at times.  I'm totally expecting a game 7 on Sunday.  I don't think we have much of a shot at winning tonight.   And I'm not even thinking about the Finals at this point.  We're a long way from getting there.  The team has shown weakness and even though we are up 3-2 and won the last game it sorta feels like the Pistons have the momentum.
