NBA.com has a message saying that "Referee assignments are posted at approximately 9:00am ET each game day".

Kenny Mauer is the worst, save for Violet Palmer. However, we shouldn't be looking to count on the refs anyway, and should be looking for our team to play their best ... if they do, the officials won't matter much.

I just spent a little too much time looking through this site that gives ref tendencies. Cool site.

Bad news: Rush and Callahan were together for Atlanta game 4.  Good news: Rush and Mauer were together for Cleveland game 7, and Rush was also on the crew for Cleveland game 1.

I remember thinking the refereeing was very bad in Atlanta, and I felt like the refs were influenced by the home crowd.  If this is the danger, it shouldn't be a problem in Boston.  All of the games these guys have reffed, the home team won (not surprisingly, given the trend in these playoffs)

From a home team W/L against the spread perspective Mauer and Callahan are two of the worst refs we could have at home. Callahan is 29-47 and Mauer is 37-45-1. Just like in Game 2 Steve Javie stuck out to me with a 32-44 record. If you believe in conspiricy theories, tonight could be a perfect example of the league trying to keep this game from turning into a blowout.
