It would have been nice to go in and win this game last night. No question. We did not need it anywhere near as much as Detroit did and it showed. We were playing in their building. They just came off a bad game where they didn't put as much effort out as they should. If they went down 3-1 it would have almost locked us in for the finals. This shouldn't have come as a surprise.

We play well when our back's against the wall. We did however do what we needed to do. We took one of two in their building and got home court back. That was the hopeful outcome. 2 games would have been real nice, but Detroit is a good team who doesn't want to go home either.

We played about as poorly offensively as we could play and still were in that game towards the end. Anyone who watched it knows it wasn't a blowout. There are concerns, but think if you are a Detroit fan. As much as we turn it on and off, they do too. 3 games, 2 in our house where we are tough. We are the better team. I like our chances!

Because I figured after game 3, the Celtics would come in ready to play.

Maybe they don't win, but they actual play.

Not allow 50% shooting while shooting 30%.

We stole one from them but they also stole one from us showing that the Pistons can win in Boston. This game was definitly the most important of the series for both teams and the celtics really blew a big chance to get a huge huge win.

  • Let's Go Celtics
It's true they absolutely don't have the killer instinct that many championship teams have.  In a way they are very similar to the Pistons during the playoffs.  They play well in must win scenarios but not when they have a lead with a chance to put a team away in a series.  This has come back to bite the Pistons many times during their 6 trips to the ECF.  That's why they only have one title in those six years.

The most frustrating part is that unlike the Pistons, the Celtics brought it all regular season long.  Did that make it so they are more fatigued now and can't bring it every night during the playoffs?  I find that hard to believe, these three guys are 6 wins away from their lifelong dream and goal.  I can't bring myself to believe that they are too tired to bring intensity every night.  It must be some other reason.  One that myself and every other fan of this team would love to know.  It is really  maddening.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

I'm not surprised just disappointed. I thought for once in these play-offs the Celtics was going to have that killer instinct and put a team away early.  I thought maybe they can get a couple of day rest as the Lakers and Spurs fight it out.  So I'm disappointed because once again the Celtics are resting on their home court advantage.  I couldn't watch that game last night.  From the first 5 minutes of the game I knew the Celtics was going to lose. Because of the effort or the lack of effort by the Cs that was by far the hardest game to watch all season.

Two good teams. This is the way the series has gone and probably will continue. It's the Celtics turn now.

I compared them to the Pistons as well.

Though only the Flip Saunders lead group.

The Pistons didn't do this under Brown or Carlisle (who never has R. Wallace).

im not worried cause like ma said how could these guys get closer than they ever been and jus let it slip away~i dont think they will and i know paul will come back stronger but he has to everynight not jus when it means goin on vacation

i dont get ray and how he has been playin cause in the beginning i really though ray was that guy who would pull us out~his game was so much better~even when we get past motown ray will be key in beatin la or san and if he does not improve it will be harder to watch this team~we have shown we can be beat at home and thats where we are strongest

this team is like a 1000 piece puzzle put together with 100 pieces missin~so many holes that everyone can see~

but i must admit im havin fun~it's been a long time since we got this far

May I direct your attention to my playoff
"motto", just below my Banner avatar?
That's right, I'm not too worried either.

Plus, has any team ever gone through the
playoffs with a 4-3 win in every series?
If not, why not break that record now?

It may worsen some ulcers and create some
postgame headaches, but what the heck...
Let's get our money's worth!
