First, I know this was a team loss tonight.  No one, with the exception of KG and Perk in spurts, played well.  However, Ray Allen is absolutely killing this team.  If the guy is not hurt, then it is the fastest I have ever seen someone lose their skills in the NBA.  In the same way that The Spurs have started Finley over Manu in the last two games, I think it is time for Doc to make a switch and start Posey.  Ray has been one of the worst performers in the postseason for this team and as I have posted several times, if he does not score, the Celtics will not win this series.  But, if he is not going to score, no sense in having him in the game.  Maybe Posey can light a fire under this team in game 5.

I agree ray allen haven't done anything but hurt this team in the play offs and if doc rivers does not see this then he should be replace as head coach at the end of the season, this does not make any sense he should see this by now the guy has not be a scoring threat or any thing in the play off or either of the two series

Ray is definately on the downturn in his career...... the problem is, I don't think Doc has the you know what to take Ray out of the starting lineup........I say let TA start for him and still bring Posey off the bench.... let Pierce and Garnett handle the scoring and you get better defense in the starting lineup......

we are 0-3 when he scores more than 20 in the playoffs.

Ray Allens continued struggles from the field are definitely disturbing. I am not sure that benching him is the answer so late in the playoffs but a part of me wonders if making him the 6th man with Posey taking his place might not work and actually light the fire that has been sorely missing from his play. A normal Ray Allen hitting his usual percentage of outside jumpers would make a huge difference in the Pistons defense.

The 2nd half might have been a good time to test the 6th man theory but I guess Doc might be a bit afraid to alienate him. The bottomline is that we need Ray Allen to win it all..it is up to Doc to find a way to make it happen.

And my point about benching him still holds.  If we don't need his scoring (which I think is just a fluke thing with the 0-3 record) then start either Posey or Tony Allen.  Much rather have the defense and athleticism than watching Ray struggle to hit any shots or guard anyone.  He is now shooting 38 percent for the playoffs from the field, and 31 percent from behind the arc.  Putrid.

He also isn't handling his bad play well. Yelling at Big Baby tonight and blaming Rondo a few days ago.

I agree with everyone here but lets face it, Doc is not gonna sit him down so that's just wishful thinking from our part.  The only thing we are left to do is hope that he somehow finds his shot before its all said and done.  Doc doesn't have the authority (or gonads) over this team like a Phil Jackson or Greg Popovich to be able to pull that off.  Sorry to say it but you all know its true.

He is still getting doubled everytime he touches the ball. I believe that doc should have something drawn up to help beat this snf hrlp him get some clean looks, but he hasn't the last 2 series. I know he's missed some wide open shots, but he is still commanding respect from the other teams d. The problem is no one else is making them pay for it.
