Everyone should have just stayed in the hotel.  They never even showed up.  Inexcusable in an ECF.  They were way too happy to get that one road win, we mailed in this terrible game.  Funny thing is, so did the Pistons.

NO PRIDE tonight.

I thought Posey and Perk played well and that was it.

Ball movement was sloppy tonight, it seemed to disrupt any flow the offense could get into.

I thought quite a few of Pierces passes were going into the second row.

Does anybody still think this Celtics team can hold a candle to the '86 Celtics? Garnett and Rondo turning open jumpers makes me sick, particularly Garnett.

Seemed to me they were the only 2 prepared for the Detroit gameplan.  The rest of the team seemed to get intimidated or frustrated into weak or sloppy play.  I was shocked at how many open looks we were passing up only to toss a lousy pass.

wake up Doc !!!!  Ray Allen is not getting it done. he shoots hurried line drives that clang off the rim (if they don't miss altogether) and he gets abused on the defensive end.Sam Cassell is almost as bad.

go with Rondo & House and give Powe some playing time !!!!!!

what a painful debacle.

i watched some footage from the 70's & 80's today. what a huge difference in those teams who knew how to play and were so consistent.

We really could of had this game tonight. Very dissapointing loss.

But you had to expect that the Pistons weren't going to let this game by. So now we just have to go back home and win it - simple as that.

That's why it's hard for me to take a lot of the other guys on the team seriously. These guys and Powe bring it hard just about every nite and the others don't

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
12 assists, 14 turnovers (compared to 27 assists and 7 turnovers for Detroit)

31.8% field goals, 11.1% three pointers

Great game.  Just a thing of beauty.

Really nothing else to do but move on and try to forget this game because nothing is going to change the outcome now anyways.

Pretty much a suckbag performance from soup to nuts by the Celtics tonight.  It would have been a nice one to get, but deep down you had to know Detroit was going to come to play in Game 4.

Positives?  Well, they kept fighting...That's all I can come up with.

Getting zippo out of the point guard position is not a good thing.

McDyess was awesome, but someones got to at least get a hand in his face.

Glass half pull approach:  You gotta be happy with the split and the familiar dilemma of a best of 3 with 3 on the home floor.

GO CELTS!
Yup

Garnett brings it every night.  He sucked tonight but I'm not about to start calling him out on his intensity.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

maxi pad and mc nugget must be stopped next game

no kidding when did both these guys turn into dead eye shooters...We stopped billups and hamilton for the most part until the end of the game..

Doc has to consider playing Leon Powe on Mcdyess...Perk just can't move his feet fast enough
