I have fealt the officiating has favoredthe home team in every series, thus the reason home teams have won so many games.  Can't say giving more calls to the home team is anything new.  On a side note, yes that second foul on KG was, in the words of Bill Walton "Terrible!"

I know this post was not directed at me because as far as I'm concerned the refs are to blame for so-called gloabl warming, racism, poverty, droughts, tornados and earthquakes.  The NBA refs are worse than WWF refs.  At least WWF refs don't pretend to call a fair game.

That 2nd foul on KG was absolutely ridiculous.  Rip's hold on KG's arm was right in front of the refs eyes.  Why these guys even pretend to make it a fair contest is remarkable in itself.

And watching David Stern do his explainining on any topic....and the way the lottery is run........ and the ref that fixed the games......... the NBA looks like a bunch of used car salesmen to me...lying cheating Edited for profanity.  Please do not do it again.s.

I think that refs can have an impact on the game, and it becomes up to the players and coach to overcome that extra factor.  Some teams may be able to overcome it, but less talented and experienced teams cannot.  However, it's proven that a ref can have a direct impact on the game.

Which is why I find it so interesting that nobody is up and arms about the whole Donaghy thing.  He could very well be lying, but I think something like that should take notice in nationals news and there should be more investigations (not just by the league but by the media).

So that's why I think it shows the state of the media (mainly ESPN) today when a headline saying "Porter thinks Patriots should have an asterisk" is more worthy of "Donaghy implies there are other refs/players/coaches in on this gamble scandal".

I agree with you here, although,in game 2(homecourt)Pierce was fouled,(no call),right in front of the ref...possibly could have turned the game around...but the KG foul(game3) was the worst, right in the ref's face, does make you wonder, what's going on here?It does appear, the homecourt get the better end of calls, but when they are as obvious as the KG foul, then its time for some reviewing.TP for bringing this up.

I'm still not convinced about a bias to the officiating, but I will say it has hampered my enjoyment of the games.

True -- the Refs kept the Celtics in the game for a long time.

And you expect House to match up with Rip? House can not play against either Hunter or Hamilton on offense, and House has no chance of defending Rip. Did you watch game 1? Did you watch the first game against Det in the regular season? House does not match up well with Det.

They both completely lock him up. At least Ray can get to the hoop and does as good of a job against Rip as anyone on the team. I don't see why you think Rondo-House would be a more effective backcourt.
