PP has done a lot of good things, but lately he has been killing us with his stupid turnovers and bad shots. He is forcing things on Lebron and there is no way that he is going to out muscle the guy. With 14 seconds and down 2 scores why does he dribble the ball at the top of the key for 7-8 seconds and then try and force that stupid pass down low. He sealed that loss. Pull up and fire a three from where he was. He was open there. 6 Turnovers tonight, 5-15 from the floor. You have to be smarter than that captain!

Our second leading scorer cost us the game? ::) LOL

Perk was terrible and so were Ray and Rondo.  Those three guys give the team SOMETHING and they win.  Paul made some bonehead plays, but he wasn't the cause of the loss.

He hit shots that kept us close a few times. He was not the cause.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

what happened to the version of paul pierce who used to take over games?  if anyone know where he's hiding let him know we would appreciate if he'd pay us a visit on Sunday.

i'm beginning to question the offense.  there is a HUGE problem happening right now, and it makes you wonder if we're getting out-scouted.

Paul Pierce did not cost us that game. That did drive me crazy him dribbling the ball for 8 seconds on the final possesion but even if he hits a three the probablity of us winning the game are pretty slim. The refs played as big of a role as anyone on the court tonight unfortuantely. It's ok we'll get 'em in game 7 back at the Garden.

Doc let's the offense take care of itself.  Just ask him.

Yes, our 5-15 shooting second leading scorer who was running much of the offensive plays there. Yes, the 6 turnover captain of ours with crucial turnovers and bad shots at key times. Ray was smart enough to not launch 15 shots when he wasn't hitting. Ray didn't drive in wildly spinning to the basket missing things right and left. He is the go-to offensive player on this team. He did nothing. Plus he got absolutely TORCHED by Lebron. He isn't the only one, but he is one of the main culprits tonight. (Him and those horrible refs)

Im starting to seriously question the knowledge of some of you guys. No doubt Pierce didn't shoot the ball well tonight but he made a ton of plays in the 4th to bring us back and if he gets that call on the ridiculous Lebron play we are cutting their lead to 3 with 48 seconds left and have a shot. He did what he needed to do late by going to the hoop. A lot of his misses were on plays where the shot clock was winding down. Plus he is D'ing up Lebron most of the game.

Agreed. While P2 had some bad plays he was the 2nd leading scorer.  Ray Allen proved once again useless, Rondo looked like a 2nd year player and Perkins has done nothing all series except a few boards and blocks here and there.  I really believe Paul is struggling on offense because he is exerting so much energy into defending James.  No way though did he cost us this game.

I think we'd question your knowledge right back at ya! PP has been driving to the hole twisting and turning through three guys just like he did for the first half of his career. He ends up taking bad shots, turns the ball over, and puts the refs in a position to be able to call the charge. Sure that wasn't a charge, but he flops around there like a fish and it increases the likelihood that the refs think he is trying to force a foul. How many times did he commit stupid plays tonight... He wouldn't be shooting so many of them at the end of the shot clock if he'd stop dribbling the ball for 7-8 seconds at a time before beginning his move. Face it, PP has reverted back to the old PP that tried to force things and win it all himself. When the offense stalls, rather than creating something for his teammates, he tries to do it all himself. He needs to drive and kick. There were many reasons we lost, and holding Cleveland to 74 points should have been enough to win, but the only one truly showing up from the big three is KG. Even he refused to shoot the 6 footer wide open in the lane there towards the end. He should have taken a dribble and thrown the thing down hard. Instead he kicks it out to Rondo who doesn't take the shot...

i think part of pierces problem has been fatigue.  he has absolutely busted his tail trying to guard lebron, and done an overall excellent job (tho, tonight was the first night lebron really went off).

While I don't think that Pierce cost us the game, I do agree with EJ's point here.  I was yelling at the screen watching Pierce practically walk the ball up the court with 2:30 and under left to play, down 7, not initiating the "offense" until there were 12 seconds left on the shot clock.  He is playing like the PP of old lately.

To be fair, he is playing pretty darn well defensively in this series.
God bless and good night!

He made ONE shot in the 4th quarter. Only three in the entire second half. Where are you getting all these big shots he hit to keep us in the game?!

Lebron on the other hand was smart enough to get to the line and hit 13-15. PP took 4 shots from the line. Sure Lebron is going to get more calls, but he can go to the basket and get more than 4 all game. When you aren't shooting well you have to get to the line. Obviously our star isn't as smart as theirs...
