"We" hate LeBron? Speak for yourself. I think he has shown some class against the Celts, especially when Pierce "hugged" him for a minute into the stands. Crowd wanted blood- but Leb went to PP and made peace. THAT is a class act. I dont think PP would have done that.

He will cost too much. And that's only if he doesn't sign an extension.

LeBron is the best player in the league in my opinion.  If your replace him with Paul Pierce... isn't that Cavs team equal to the Celtics last year?  Delonte = Delonte, Wally = Wally, Z = Al, Ben = Perk, Gibson = Rondo...

Bron is a god.  I'd love to have him here.  Not sure how it would work though unless he freaks out and demands to come to Boston... forcing the Cavs to take some kind of sign and trade deal for Ray Allen's expiring contract... or something.

sorry, i hate the guy but kobe is a better player than lebron, though lebron is probley #2. lebron is awesome, and if he develops his shot will be the best, but kobe does EVERYTHNG well, he literaly has no weaknesses right now.

If you remove yourself from what you think of him and just watch kobe play, its phenominal to watch...

He might be a better shooter and scorer in general.  But I think if you replaced LeBron with Kobe... the Cavs wouldn't get this far.   That's my personal opinion.   Bron nearly averages a triple double.  I'd take Bron over Kobe.

I also believe he will be headed to the Nets in 2010, Jay-z has already been warned by Stern though to not get to close to Lebron, as it is a slight conflict of interest. I really can't stand Lebron, I think he is a huge part of a lot of what is wrong with the league, but no team wouldn't want him on their team.

so, apparently what is wrong with the league is a superstar who is active in his community, holds annual charity events, keeps himself out of trouble and interacts with kids during his shootarounds?

Got it...I guess what is right with the league would be the one's who cheat on their wives, do drugs, start fights in the stands, get arrested for DUIs, etc.

Celtic, I know you were probably referring to the acting on court, but I felt like making a point here.  Lebron is a good human being outside of being a good basketball player.  The league could use more of those

I really don't care about him off the court at all. He's not my friend, we don't interact, if he's a jerk or a great guy it really doesn't matter. If a guy cheats on his wife and is a great basketball player it really doesn't make a difference, I am watching him to see him play basketball, I have no interest in his private life.

The things he, and guys like Dwyane Wade, are allowed to do on the court is embarrassing to the league. He's allowed to travel whenever he wants, he drives the lane with his arm extended clearing out defenders, and if you breath on him it's a foul. The second set of rules for him is something that shouldn't exist, and all the "Witness," "Savior" nonsense is just stupid. Deny it if you like but Lebron "Global Icon" James buys into it just as much as everyone else. He even has the tattoo to prove it.

But don't worry "A Lebron James team is never desperate."

Why do I keep thinking this Space for rent lol...Call 1 800 Le Bron
See, this is why I'm not allowed to announce NBA games -- I'd be talking in the Cookie Monster voice right now:

Ahhhhhhhhhh ... my knee hurts ... ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ... me don't like when my knee hurts ...

he's also 5 times the defender lebron is, both at keeping people in front of him and getting rips. also a better passer, though lebron is strogner so he can throw a meanier bullet.

and if kobe was on the cavs they'd be the same. the cavs werent exactly awesome in the regular season, they were what, 47-35? i think kobe could take that team to a slightly better than 500 recored. he took awful lakers teams to that type of recored in the west, never mind the east.

Kobe is great, but the lakers roster over the past couple of years has been miles ahead of the Cavs.  We had Eric Snow playing point guard.  Ira Newble, Donyell Marshall, Damon Jones and Flip Murray have started for the Cavs in past years.

I am pretty sure the cavs would have struggled to win 10 games if Lebron wasn't playing this year....they were terrible when Lebron was out this year

im at work at the moment, so i cant look at thier roaster, but the lakers from 2 years ago were god awful. they wer ejust a terrable basketball team, there was no way they should have gotten the 38-40 wins they got in a much tougher conferance.

Lebron is great already, but kobe wins the matchup for being able to shoot, play wayyyy better defense, and arguabley be a better passer, though lebron does win the "i can through a ridiculous 45 ft frozen rope of a bullet pass" award, and that is a deadly pass.
