The Celtics will kick Cleveland's butt in Game 5.  The Celtics are going to keep feasting on home cooking and get the job done.

Our bench will outplay their bench.  That is why homecourt is so important.

I know, no great insight here, but just look around the playoffs this season.    We're gonna step it up.

I agree.  We are going to beat them down in game 5 and then finish this series in 6 that way Detroit isn't getting that much more rest.  I look for Pierce to have a big game all around. I know I'm like everyone else and worries a little but so far nobody has played us that tough on our court with the exception of game 1 in this series.  I don't see it being a problem until next round so lets just take care of our court in game 5 and finish it off in 6!

Today is a good day for a home court stomping of the Cavs.

I think so, too.  If they don't, though...   :P

Haha.  I think they'll win this one, and I've already predicted a Game 6 win.  Still, I've still got that nagging sense of pessimism / realism in the back of my head that infects so many New England sports fans.

We're going to lose this game..... it's going to be a close game throughout and we'll lose it at the end..... and since we can't win on the road, we'll be losing this series in 6......

In the offseason, all the C's will be searching for their manhood since they all lost it in the Atlanta series

I was being negative but I just get distraughted easily and flustered.

This is still our year. We aren't really struggling on the road. Everyone knows the NBA was trying to create buzz about basketball in Atlanta and had the series officiated to help the Hawks do just that. Didn't Atlanta get nearly 50 free throws in Game 6 and only won by 3?

Game 4 was close in Cleveland the current EC Champs.

This series is over Friday!

Bring on the Pistons!

Celts are going to win tonite by about 10, Cavs win next game by a lebron shot and we beat them game 7 by 10 again.

If we win this series in 7 don't be surpised celts might win this whole thing just by winning at home

You know, it's funny, I hadn't thought about it in that context, but the Bruins marketing has totally been based on their rejuvenation based on taking Montreal to 7 games.  I'd bet dollars to donuts a similar thing is happening in Atlanta.  Hopefully the Celts don't follow the pattern of the Canadiens in round 2 following an unexpected 7 game series in round 1.

Celts will come out smokin' tonight.  A win in game 5, and hopefully they can put themselves in a position to take the series in 6 (and actually do it).

While I am certainly aware that "past history is not indicative of future performance", I provide you with this interesting stat:

For the recent NBA playoff past, No. 1 seeded teams (as in your Boston Celtics) playing AT HOME when the series is tied, now stand at 20-3.
(This includes the C's two wins @home vs. Atlanta when the series was knotted up 2-2 and 3-3).

Tonight, both Boston and LA fit this historical profile.
