I am worried, yes, but if I have to hear 1 more pundit or read one more article online or in print saying that we "aren't a championship team" or "can't win it all" or WHATEVER, I am gonna flip out!  This article on SI this morning finally tipped me of the ledge.  http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/basketball/nba/specials/playoffs/2008/05/13/fastbreaks.cavs.celtics/index.html?bcnn=yes

Let's get some things straight.  First, let's look at those lovable Lakers who we don't see thrashed every day after their games.  Okay, so they swept Denver, I will give them that although Denver is a ship sinking faster than the Titanic.  But they lose 2 on the road and we are the only ones who have "BLOWN a 2-0 series lead"?  The Hornets get blown out in 2 games in SA but they are still a scrappy team that is just fine?  This is total crap!

Again, am I worried, of COURSE!  But is this over?  Not by any stretch!  And it's one thing for these idiots in the press to be saying all of this, but there is just WAY too much of it on this board.  Do I think G. Rivers (I refuse to call him Doc anymore, much like I don't call my friend with a PhD 'Doc') is a complete bonehead who couldn't set a rotisserie chicken in proper rotation any more than setting a rotation on the court?  Yes!  But c'mon guys.  Suck it up!  Stop talking about things we need that we don't have.  We have what we have and it should be good enough.

I won't be at the game, but please... PLEASE... DO NOT LET THE NEGATIVE CRAP I HAVE BEEN READING ON HERE BLEED INTO THE ARENA!  Leave it at home because we need an even stronger home atmosphere from here on out than what these guys are seeing for the other teams from their fans when we are on the road.

we can win, but only if we re-capture the road form that made us formidable.

Maestro, I said it as far back as 4 months ago, home court advantage would matter more to this team than almost any other team in any sport in any playoffs.  And we may very well need to play 28 games this postseason to get it done.  I keep reading that "we are bound to drop one at home"... well on that logic, "we are bound to win on the road" too.

very true. but right now, with a must-win home game being next and having dropped a 2 game lead all the pressure is on the celtics to deliver.

The reason you don't hear about the Lakers or NO is because Utah and SA are considered to be much better teams than the Cavs.  The Cavs didn't even win 50 games this year.

Team chemistry is very important and you can tell the Celtics haven't had to face much adversity this year...it shows in the final minutes of these close games (especially when they are on the road).

All of the big 3 are experiencing the immense playoff pressure for the first time.  They have to work through it.  The Celtics are a great home team which should help them in this series.  A road win is going to be neccessary at some point, but it isn't neccessary just quite yet for them

Not to mention that every other team in the playoffs have won on the road.

If Boston had just beaten Atlanta in Atlanta just once, there would be a lot less of this.

I hear you all about needing at least 1 win and everything.  I am not disputing that these idiot pundits have a reason, but all I am saying is that the fans can't afford this thinking.  IMO, if we take care of business at home in game 5, I think we may see a different team on the road in 6.  Let's just try to help them get there.

No Doubt.  I would even say biggest game of Paul, Ray & KG's careers.  If there has ever been a non elimination game that was a "must win", this is it.

I've been trying to work on the two-way street theory too, but no one seems to be buying it.  One other thing people seem to have lost sight of is that the opponent is just as entitled to want to win as the Celtics.

As much as we want the C's to step up on the road we're still only as good as the next game at this point.  The Celts seem to be able to re-focus when they get home.  Let's try to do the same.
Yup
